Three Directors in Talks for "Ouija" Movie

Three Directors in Talks for "Ouija" MovieSubmit Comment
Universal Pictures is moving forward with an "Ouija" movie, based on the popular Hasbro property. "Tron Legacy" writers Adam Horowitz and Edwart Kitsis already put together a script and between $80 and $100 million has been allocated for the film's budget. The only thing left is to find a director.

We recently reported that Pierre Morel (Taken, District B13) is the leading contender for the job, but Deadline has now learned that Sylvain White (The Losers, Stomp the Yard) and Scott Stewart (Priest, Legion) are also in the mix. A decision will be made in the next two weeks.

Without a backstory, many assumed that an "Ouija" movie would become a teen horror film. But Universal is instead developing the film as an action-adventure pic in the vein of "National Treasure." The plan is to begin filming next summer for a Thanksgiving 2012 release.

Well considering the cinematic master peices that are.."The Losers", "Stomp The Yard" and "Priest", "Legion"..I'm gonna have to go with..Pierre Morel.

But of course they shouldn't be making a movie about a ouija board anyway.

I'm still in shock that ONE director was in talks for this piece of sh*t. Do it the the right way. Hire a kid straight out of film school and have it premier on the SyFy channel.

Why not just ask the Ouija Board who the next director will be?

They really are trying to beat, f*ck and kill this already dead horse, aren't they ?

The only good film in that entire list is Taken, and I hate to think that the talent used in making one of the better action-revenge films in recent years is going to be wasted on a movie based on a f*cking idiotic board game with compass meant for communication with dead people.

If you're looking for a waste to waste on a waste of a film, try M. Night.

The guy has a solid decade of experience making lame, sh*tty films people refuse to watch, even after being threatened with a death more horrible than can be imagined.

So I'd say he's your go-to man right now, and I hear he isn't doing much, what with his three strikes you're out career, thanks to Avatar, The Happening and Devil.

Lady in the Water doesn't count because it isn't considered a film, actually, but a cinematic exercise by a crippled imagination.

So, yeah, bring on Ouija Board: The f*cking Movie. I mean, you know WalMart's 3 for Ten bin is just waiting for it.
