Trailer: James Cameron's "Sanctum" ThrillerPosted: October 27th, 2010 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
Today we have the trailer for the upcoming underwater thriller "Sanctum," produced by James Cameron who used the same 3D technology developed for "Avatar." Check out the trailer below.
Plot: Master diver Frank McGuire (Richard Roxburgh) has explored the South Pacific's Esa-ala Caves for months. But when his exit is cut off in a flash flood, Frank's team--including 17-year-old son Josh (Rhys Wakefield) and financier Carl Hurley (Ioan Gruffudd)--are forced to radically alter plans. With dwindling supplies, the crew must navigate an underwater labyrinth to make it out. Soon, they are confronted with the unavoidable question: Can they survive, or will they be trapped forever?
The new movie is directed by Alister Grierson and is scheduled to hit 2D and 3D theaters on February 4th, 2011.

Buried meets The Abyss meets The Decent meets the Cave, minus the cool monsters. It's like they have this machine in Hollywood for generating movie mashups no one wants to see.
And Cameron can shove his 3D camera up his ass entirely.

What, are you into the novelty known as 3D now, Triggax? Aren't you the guy running his own damned theater, showing the 'classics' to the crowds? Why would you of all people get hornswoggled into Cameron's Crap-O-Vision?

That d*ck (i.e. Cameron) earns ten times more money in a second than this film cost. I mean it looks like a German TV film. Or that Baywatch movie that even Hasselhoff was ashamed of. Sure, Cameron's a douche but he shouldn't put his name on every piece of sh*t he's remotely connected with.

And one more thing: do you call him an aquaphile or a hydrophile? Cuz Mr self-elected-king-of-the-world really's got some issues.

I think "Scrotum" woulda been a more appropriate title.

True, but you know those coke-snorting Hollywood guys. They're all liars. "Truth in advertising" just isn't a motto they can say without shooting twin white geysers from both nostrils.

"is it me or does this look terrible"
There. Fixed. And what's with the Cam-man's obsession with water and other blue sh*t?

OneTime, this was made down the road from me and in the large part most movies made on the Gold Coast look like sh*t. But in saying that the third Narnia film was being made at the same studio at the same time. But on the down side this is also where the remake of House of Wax was made!

The film looks okay. Kind of like The Goonies for adults. I've been waiting for someone to come out with a 3D film that takes advantage of claustrophobia.

That's his next movie. It's called Rectum.
