"The Godfather" Director Secretly Filming "Twixt Now and Sunrise" with Val KilmerSubmit Comment
Francis Ford Coppola (The Godfather, Apocalypse Now) hasn't had much luck with directing recently. His "Youth Without Youth" grossed only $244,000 domestically, while his "Tetro" film took in $518,000.

Deadline is now reporting that the director is currently shooting his latest film, called "Twixt Now and Sunrise," which is based on his short story. It is being shot in Napa, on Coppola's property.

The horror thriller stars Val Kilmer, Elle Fanning (Curious Case of Benjamin Button) and Bruce Dern (Monster). The only thing known about the movie, is that Val Kilmer plays a horror novelist in it.

Maybe because he picks actors like Val Kilmer to be his lead now?

What happened to you..........

It's hardly a secret if we know is it?

Kilmer is still the man, he played a great role in Spartan. This could be what he needs to make it back to the box office.

hell yeah good to see Kilmer not making B movies. hopefully this puts him on top again.

Tetro was okey.

Coppola hardly gives a f*ck about how much his latest movies gross - he clearly makes them just cause he feels like. Haven't seen Tetro. "Youth" was solidly acted and directed, beautifully shot. But it was trying to hard to be smart (at least that's what I saw), stepping into Tarkovsky's territory when it clearly wasn't.

I just think it's the surplus of actors in the biz that hurt Kilmer's career. I mean, I have liked him in anything I've seen. And he's been in some decent stuff.

So, it's either the surplus of actors, or

Val makes bad choices, or

his agent sucks.

Val looks like he's thinking "WTF am I doing doing THIS movie?" in that picture.

this is a film site, and you have to write "Godfather director" in the title, instead of just Francis Ford Coppola?

First, how can it be a secret when they are able to take photographs of Val preparing for the role from SPACE ?

Secondly, how the f*ck can it be a motherf*cking f*ckity f*cking secret if you're f*cking reporting it, motherf*cker ?

^ Val has that look in the photograph of " I went from Real Genius and The Doors ... a calibre of acting only second to Sean Penn ... to being the villian in MacGruber ... What the f*ck ????? "

@Bob McBob

Just forgive them. Most of them weren't born till after the Rodney King beating and are too f*cking lazy to look it up.

Val Kilmer and Coppola had a lot to talk about, I'm sure. Like how to remind people they're still alive. I really hope they both pull this off. Kilmer's performance in Tombstone is still one of my all-time favorites. You'd think those two invented the antisemitic rant with the amount of work they've been getting.
