"Looney Tunes" Movie in the Works, Without Looney Tunes Characters

"Looney Tunes" Movie in the Works, Without Looney Tunes CharactersSubmit Comment
THR is reporting that Warner Bros has acquired a pitch by Kevin and Dan Hageman (Hotel Transylvania), who came up with an idea to make a live-action/CG feature film around the fictional ACME warehouse.

ACME is a company that manufactures products that Looney Tunes characters use in their adventures. All the gadgets that Wile E. Coyote acquires to catch the Road Runner are from ACME. Unfortunately, they never work as expected.

The idea is to feature the many outlandish devices in a movie that's similar in tone to "Men in Black" movies. Despite this being a Looney Tunes movie, it will not use any of the Looney Tunes characters.

A looney tunes' movie without Looney tunes' character? Now that's what I call a Real Looney!

So it's going to be the climax of "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" Hm...

I'll never forget Wile E. Coyote's Superman costume - each time I watch this episode I literally cry with laughter.

'Unfortunately, they never work as expected.' --- if memory serves, ALL the ACME stuff worked perfectly. The rockets fired, the anvils fell, etc. It was just the bad timing of the coyote or the speed of the roadrunner that foiled the results.

GET IT RIGHT THR, YOU d*ckS!

Epic fail

@Ranger

Yep, definitely user error.

This film might as well be a mockumentary of the life of a manufacturing plant employee at Staples. Except instead of staplers, the forklift operators are being propelled by rockets and sh*t.

Also, Hotel Transylvania? wtf is that? A step up from a LaQuinta Inn?

Hey Alex- where's that edit button? It could nicely go next to (or on top of) that Profanity Filter button that no one uses.

There's a writers strike in Hollywood? I mean... This is a VERY lame idea.

C'mon... EVERYONE SING!!!

If you're on the highway and Road Runner goes beep beep.
Just step aside or u might end up in a heap.
Road Runner, Road Runner runs on the road all day.
Even the coyote can't make her change her ways.

Road Runner, the coyote's after you.
Road Runner, if he catches you you're through.
Road Runner, the coyote's after you.
Road Runner, if he catches you you're through.

That coyote is really a crazy clown,
When will he learn he can never mow her down?
Poor little Road Runner never bothers anyone,
Just runnin' down the road's her idea of having fun!
