"Gravity" May Lose Robert Downey Jr Due to DelaysPosted: October 25th, 2010 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
  At first, Angelina Jolie exited the "Wanted" sequel in order to join Alfonso Cuaron's "Gravity" space movie. Then she left that film as well, which led to Natalie Portman stepping in. Then Portman left, causing filmmakers to look for another replacement.
Just recently came word that Sandra Bullock has agreed to star in the 3D movie about a female astronaut at a space station who is hellbent on finding her way back to earth and her daughter after the station is destroyed by a debris field from an exploded asteroid.
Robert Downey Jr was set to play the co-pilot and the other only survivor from the very beginning of the project. But now, he too is having trouble staying attached to this constantly-delayed project.
According to Deadline, Downey was hoping to shoot "Gravity" before "Sherlock Homes 2." Then when actresses started dropping out, he found a few weeks during the "Sherlock" shoot to film his part for "Gravity." Since things are yet to be finalized, he may have to drop out of "Gravity" altogether in order to focus on "The Avengers" and "Iron Man 3."

Wow. Robert Downey Junior's come a long way from when COCAINE was the reason for delays to his movies ...
* golf clap *
Way to go, Robert. Say "Hi!" to that bitch girlfriend of yours, Zach Gallifinakis, for me.

Then they can take it away from Mel... and we can all watch on live TV as Mel goes full O.J. on Hollywood's ass!

I think this movie would be great for Mel. After all, there aren't any Jews in space.

Get Clive Owen for this role, he's not doing anything. Plus he was in Children of Men (also directed by Alfonso Cuaron) which is an amazing film.

@masht7, spot on call with the casting of Clive, would be perfect. Also true statement about Children of Men.
