Steven Spielberg Confirmed to Direct "Robopocalypse" Sci-Fi FilmSubmit Comment
DreamWorks has confirmed that Steven Spielberg will direct "Robopocalypse," which will begin shooting in January of 2012 and then be released in 2013. The project will be Spielberg's next after "Tintin" and "Warhorse."

"Cloverfield" screenwriter Drew Goddard has adapted the Daniel H. Wilson epic about the human race's attempt to survive an apocalyptic robot uprising.

"'Robopocalypse' embodies an imaginative story of a robot rebellion unleashed against the human race," said DreamWorks co-president of production Mark Sourian. "This is a project we immediately sparked to and with Steven directing it we knew it was in the best possible hands to bring it to worldwide audiences."

Terrible f*cking idea. Is there any story as old and used as the 'robots attack' story? Its been f*cked, fingered, and screwed even more than Lohan's labias.

Sounds more like iRobot to me...I think I'm witnessing the downfall of Steven Spielberg. Oh, btw steven, go f*ck yourself.

i'm pretty sure harrison ford said something like 'if we're going to do indy 5, better do it quick, because i'm not getting any younger'...if harrison ford leaves indy 5, it'll be a revenge episode on south park

Even though I like the title, 'Robocopalypse', it is equal terrible. The name isn't really giving you an epic feeling of human resistance against robots. Instead it could be the subtitlte for the next 'Transformers'.

he can show michael bay how to direct a real movie when it comes to robots killing people or..other robots -_-

Rehashing an old sci-fi tinged cliche worked for Cameron but i still think Spielberg should direct Avengers or 3 new proper Star wars sequels(7,8+9) failing that retire.
