Stephen Norrington Kicked Off "The Crow" Remake at Actor's Request

Posted: October 22nd, 2010 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
Stephen Norrington Kicked Off "The Crow" Remake at ActorSubmit Comment
When Josh Brolin joined "Jonah Hex," he immediately got rid of Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor (Crank), who wrote the script and were looking to direct. We all know how that turned out. Now a similar thing is happening with "The Crow" remake.

Back in 2008, Stephen Norrington (Blade, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen) was announced as the director of "The Crow" and Nick Cave (The Proposition) was brought on to polish the script.

Norrington now revealed to Mania that a big star has joined the film and didn't like the script. He requested a completely new take, which caused the firing of Norrington and Cave.

It was recently rumored that Mark Wahlberg is in talks to star in "The Crow." Norrington hints that the big star is not Wahlberg, but he doesn't actually deny it. Stay tuned.

Not a fan AYT , Thought he did a good job on Blade but League of Ex Genlemen was a bit of a mess.

And I Really dont want that movie to be Sean Connery's last movie (looks like it might though).

Actors should just turn up and do their job, if they don't like it don't sign up (I'm looking in your direction Zach).

f*cking douches think they have brains!

well this news is one step up...now, if only we can get the studios fired off this project at the fans' request...then again, every sequel they made for the crow was kind of a remake...that's the direction studios should go...never remake the version with brandon lee

YOU DO NOT FIRE NICK CAVE. It's ridiculous.

In the interview the guy acts like he expected to be let go, so maybe that's not such a terrible thing. Perhaps they have a second director already waiting in the wings.

Now they can blame this monstrosity of a film aka The Crow (remake) aka Max Payne II - Even More Payne-ful on Marky Mark Wahlberg....

Hey Marky-Mark,

Your mom's face looks like a Cinnabon, now that I nutted on it. Say hi to her for me.

We don't need another f*cking Crow movie sh*t. Still smart move considering how terrible the League was.

Frees him up for Blade 4. LoEG wouldve been better with more of a budget. They had to cut AllT of corners while filming.

If Hollywood HAS to remake 'The Crow', cast Taylor Kistch, NOT Mark Wahlberg

a " big star " who again ... shut the f*ck up read the script and act it out you over paid monkeys they pay you to perform not revise the f*cking words on the page douche bag
Pig Newtons writes:

Which means that Nicolas Cage was brought in and got Norrington fired.

Let's hope it goes into development hell and never gets made. The original is a classic, and we don't need a Twilight infleunced bastardization, starring some fag who doesn't deserve to play the role.
Pig Newtons writes:

@Max: They had better NOT remake Willow! That movie STILL looks good even after all these years. Plus, Val Kilmer before he was fat! :)

NOOOOOOOO!!!!, you know I really prefer your earlier post but I think I now have to puke because I know the studios will probably try.

Or how about not remake The Crow at all? At the rate Hollywood is going, soon no movie will ever be an original idea again. f*ck THAT.
