Craig Robinson is the New Boss on "The Office"?Posted: October 20th, 2010 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
With Steve Carell getting ready to leave "The Office" at the end of this season, everyone has been speculating what NBC will do. The network already revealed that the show will go on and that Carell wil be replaced.
We first heard that Harvey Keitel may join as a retired salesman who is forced out of retirement due to the economy. We also heard that Danny McBride may step in as the new boss. But now, E! Online is claiming that the decision has been made and Darryl Philbin (played by Craig Robinson) will be replacing Michael Scott (Carell).
The site says: "Over the next two weeks, we're really going to start to feel that Michael Scott is on his way out on 'The Office.' The storylines are starting to nudge Michael in the direction of moving on, and a certain other staff member feeling like it may be time to move up. (And this Dunder Mifflinite's name rhymes with Jarryl Tilbin.)"

Darryl is my favorite character, so i'm all for this...even if it does make absolutely no sense for the Warehouse Foreman to become Regional Manager.

if they want to keep the show going, why not just replace the character so people don't get pissed that other actors are filling in for his role?...common sense would save a lot of grief among fans, but most people in hollywood have no common sense

*Yawn*
should have canceled it after Season 4
2 was the golden year, 3 was alright... after that they realized what Ricky Gervais realized before he even storyboarded his version for only 1 season.

that's an odd choice. I feel the only way for the show to go on is to get someone big to replace Steve (aka Danny Mcbride). Otherwise, just end it before it gets embarrasing.
Although, this season has been really good so far, and almost none of the funny moments have come from Michael Scott. I'm actually getting a little tired of that character. Maybe it can go on without him. Andy is killing it this year, he can do no wrong.

Absolutely perfect choice. Stunt casting would just seem desperate (Harvey Kietel). Darryl was already promoted from the warehouse so this would make sense. Plus, we've seen all the different sides of all the other characters at this point except for his.
I'd rather they just end the show but, for NBC, that's asking waaaay too much.

Im a huge fan of the show, but, I hate to say it, they really should end the show on a high note once Carell leaves. I could see it survive another season or two if Dwight becomes manager, no one else. DONT LET IT 'END' LIKE SCRUBS.

They should make Andy the new boss; he is as big of a boob as Michael was and it will make Dwight crazy and give Jim and Pam something to run with on Dwight
