Eddie Murphy Joins Brett Ratner's "Tower Heist"

Posted: October 14th, 2010 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
Eddie Murphy Joins Brett RatnerSubmit Comment
We recently reported that Brett Ratner (X-Men: The Last Stand, Red Dragon) will begin shooting "Tower Heist" in November in New York. He immediately signed Ben Stiller and Alan Alda, and now comes word that Eddie Murphy has joined the cast as well.

The movie was originally put together as a black version of "Ocean's Eleven" and Murphy was rumored to play the lead role. Stiller then replaced him, but Ratner still wanted Murphy apart of the project.

In "Tower Heist," Stiller will play an overworked manager of a luxury building who, along with other staff, lost their pensions to a Bernie Madoff-like Wall Street crook. It so happens that the crook is being held under house arrest in the luxury penthouse apartment upstairs, and the manager and four cohorts figure a heist will make them whole.

a black version of ocean's eleven?...wow somebody didn't do their homework and didn't realize that bernie mac and don cheadle were in the remake...what the hell were they planning?...two white guys in the black version?

Not reading this one, but i'm guessing it's about f*cking transvestite's in a tree and ben stiller play's the straight unfunny guy ....

Well, this one is doomed to fail from the start. High paid actors that are not talented. Wow ! Couldn't they at least hire one actor in the bunch. Alan Alda, God Bless his heart, is so old - anything he truly does isn't exciting anymore. (Let's all hope anyone else they higher is gifted. So far, this movie is doomed to failure.)

Murphy in a movie?

I didn't see a casting call for a black female?

Well sh*tty plot or not brett ratner's douchebaggery seems to atract the audience and makes millions.Eddies half decent role was in Norbit and it was ok nothing special I rather see Charlie Murphy

It is STILL a black "Ocean's Eleven" ... Ben Stiller is acting more like a House Negro with every role he's accepting.

... Brett ruined the career of Chris Tucker and now he's looking to put the nail on the coffin for Eddie.

Eddie, did you learn nothing with that tranny you picked up in the past ? Just because they flash you something yummy up front, it doesn't mean you won't find out something uncomfortable and embarrassing towards the end.

I mean, think of Pluto Nash. Norbit. Haunted Mansion. Che's mom. Billibong Buttf*ck's proposal to swallow your c*m.

Brett, you're in trouble now. The AV department at the high school said you stole their digital camera and they want it back.

Too bad the schiester who stole the pensions wasn't Roman Polanski and the pensions were the innocence of kids as young as the Lil' Rascals. Then Brett could rip-off "Home Alone" meets " Ocean's Eleven " ...

It would be a pre-pubescent version of "Hard Candy" ....

which would be much more interesting than this load of horsesh*t.

Ben,

When your finishing sucking the c*m out of Brett's c*ck, Robert Deniro would like to see you.

Wow, Eddie

You've come a long way since Beverly Hills Cop, Raw and Trading Places .....

THAT'S NOT A COMPLEMENT, BUCKWHEAT.

Wow, it's hard to believe Charlie Murphy and Eddie Murphy were conceived from the same p*ssy.

One grows up to be a comic that truly has a funny bone and shows his comedic timing in black, urban films, where his very presence draws in crowds to the boxoffice ...

and the other becomes EDDIE MURPHY.

Besides sounding like complete sh*t (and after I finally had some respect for Ben Stiller again), I thought Eddie Murphy quit acting? Of all the ones that have quit within the last ten years, he's actually one that should stop for good

@Ranger

Joke One : That's what sailors say when they arrive to port near Che's moms house.

Joke Two : Maybe Eddie's like Mickey and doesn't watch his movies. Or read his scripts. Or listen to his agent, when the guy says, " No, Eddie ... maybe you shouldn't. "

Eddie USED to be funny.

But then again Eddie USED to have balls.

Maybe his wife keeps them in her purse.

lol.

Sounds like Will Smith's marriage. When he was super hot and she INSISTED he take a year off his career. I guess she was getting spoiled with all those $80mil. annual incomes years he had.
