Two More Join "The Raven" Edgar Allen Poe ThrillerSubmit Comment
Luke Evans (Clash of the Titans) and Alice Eve (She's Out of My League) are in negotiations to star opposite John Cusack in "The Raven," the Edgar Allan Poe thriller being directed by James McTeigue (V for Vendetta, Ninja Assassin).

Evans is replacing Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker), who was set to star in the film but decided to accept the offer to join Tom Cruise in "Mission: Impossible 4."

Evans will play a detective who partners with Poe (Cusack) to search for a serial killer who has kidnapped the author's fiancee (Eve) and gone on a murder spree that mimics the author's work. The project begins shooting in late October, with Budapest and Serbia standing in for 1849 Baltimore.

I'm a big fan of The Raven. This is gonna turn out great. And a nude scene with Alice Eve wouldn't hurt.

I would've prefered Renner before Cusack.

Looks good, but Sly is also planing to make movie about Poe, and movie by Andrzej Wajda is one step from starting the set.

Bad move Renner I think the monster shadow of Tomkate will drown you out.

And to you Alice Eve....how did you get out of my basement?

Edgar Allen Poe Thriller?

I thought Michael Jackson did Thriller!

I can see Cusak as Poe visually, but this movie still sounds really dumb. Other than Robert Downey Jr., Sherlock Holmes wasn't that good and this sounds very similar to that in taking a famous character from literature and making him an action hero. McTeigue did a great job on V for Vendetta but Ninja Assassin...Renner made a good move, but granted I don't know how a Mission Impossible movie from the guy who did Ratatouille will turn out either.
