Today we have the trailer for the upcoming survival film "The Way Back," starring Colin Farrell, Jim Sturgess, Ed Harris, Mark Strong and Saoirse Ronan. Check it out below.

Plot: Inspired by a true story, the movie tells the tale of a group of prisoners who escaped the Soviet Gulag in 1940 and traveled over 4,000 miles across some of the most dangerous terrain in the world, including mountains, deserts, and rivers.

The new movie is directed by Peter Weir (The Truman Show, Master and Commander) and adapted from a novel by Slavomir Rawicz. It is scheduled to get a limited theatrical at the end of December.

Superb!!

Of course, Americans won't even get such great movie in wide release...

^and who says that's a bad thing. Colin Farrell is awful anyways.

Colin Farrell's "Way Back" includes a bar fight and a pint of Guiness.

However, I love Peter Wier's direction. I think this might forgive Colin for :

a. Phone Booth
b. Bullseye from Daredevil
c. The Recruit
d. SWAT

Hell, the f*cker did In Bruges. He knows he can do better WHEN HE f*ckING WANTS TO.

@Max
what about "e. Alexander"? lol

In Bruges finally proved that Colin Farrell actually gives a f*ck about his acting career.

of course, he had to quit drinking before he knew what a good script was!

i dont see why they're labeling this as Colin Farrell's The Way Back, though. the trailer makes the f*cknut from 21 out to be the main dude.

looks like it'll be good though, ed harris is f*cking awesome! (for hanging a kid in Enemy At The Gates, lol)

@Ted Mosby

Alexander was a cross between a bad community college play and a pissing contest ... mainly Farrell and his co-horts pissing on their awards and past acting careers (Especially Val Kilmer, whose been parodying a bloated, Frito-Lay eating Brando for the last couple of years) and most notably is the only movie Oliver StoneD did that shows Rosario's awesome rack swinging in front of the grips and boommikes.

^ I'm pretty sure it wasn't a closed set.

Yeah, this looks f*cking awesome. One of the best trailers in a while.

This looks really good ....

I like Peter Weir, it's a shame he doesn't make films a little more often.

Witness is still one of my favorite thrillers.

Colin's movie career started out great with Tigerland, then was just eight years of sh*t until In Bruges. Even liked him Crazyheart.

Even though he didn't really speak much in the trailer, Ed Harris looks like he's returning to his badass form a la The Rock.
