Slash from Guns N' Roses to Develop Horror Films

Posted: October 7th, 2010 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
Slash from Guns NSubmit Comment
Rob Zombie already turned his music career into a movie career by directing two "Halloween" installments and several other horror films. Now, legendary Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash is starting his own production company called Slasher Films.

Similar to Zombie, Slash will producer edgy contemporary horror films with a nod to the thrillers of the '70s and '80s. He has already set up his first project, which is "Nothing to Fear," a horror/thriller.

The new movie follows a young family as it tries to reinvent itself by moving to a small town in rural Kansas. The family is tormented by an ancient demon with an insatiable blood lust. Production is set to begin early next year.

"I've always been a huge horror fan and creating films that take you back to the days where horror movies actually scared the hell out of you is something I've always wanted to do," Slash said in a statement. "My audience is made up of young, edgy, discerning consumers, with an appetite for quality and a hint of anarchy."

Guns N' Roses in the 80's was one of the greatest band ever existed!

I don't see this guy making a movie.

Is time to kill the "Rob Zombie" syndrome...

@Salvador

Don't let Rob get you skiddish about Slash.

Hey, at least it's not Axel.

For fun, they oughta make that demon that terrorizes the family in Kansas look like the Mickey-Rourke as Harley Davidson-looking, collagen supporting, botox pumping, red dreadlocked, lousy singing (at this point) Axel.

One afternoon, I went and saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, followed by The Devil's Rejects ....

I didn't need any hallucinagens for about a year after that f*cked up afternoon.

Rob created the Firefly family from scratch and entered during the torture porn crest of a f*cked up wave torrented by Eli Roth ... that was pretty decent.

When he took over Halloween and made Michael Myers a serial killing hobo ... that's when the fans came out and wondered what Rob downed the previous night before writing the script, much less directing it ....

I'm thinking undercooked Taco Bell and NyQuil.

@Max Rockatansky: Yo saw "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and "The Devil's Rejects" the same day???

You made my day, man!

House of 1000 corpses and The Devils Rejects were really good movies, the Halloween movies were good, I like Zombies view/vision and way of making films, I'll give Slash a chance, see what he can do.
