Trailer for ShakespeareSubmit Comment
Today we have the trailer for "The Tempest" movie, based on William Shakespeare's play and stars Russell Brand, Helen Mirren, Alfred Molina, Djimon Hounsou, Alan Cumming, Chris Cooper, Ben Whishaw and David Strathairn. Check out the trailer below.

"The Tempest" brings an original dynamic to a 400 year-old story by changing the gender of the sorcerer Prospero into the sorceress Prospera (Mirren), whose journey spirals through vengeance to forgiveness as she reigns over a magical island, cares for her young daughter, Miranda (Felicity Jones), and unleashes her powers against shipwrecked enemies in this exciting, masterly mix of romance, tragicomedy and the supernatural.

The new movie is written and directed by Julie Taymor (Across the Universe, Frida) and is set scheduled to hit theaters on December 10th, in limited release.

A couple of things :

a. The CGI ? Meh. Quick cuts and badly done CGI in some parts (the hiding jiggs in the trees and the water person).

b. Mirren. Hot as ever. I would lick her p*ssy out and go back for seconds, thirds and fourths.

c. They labeled Russell Brand's ( & Alfred Molina's) character under STUPIDITY. For Russell, this is a step up.

d. This reminds me of Excalibur or even First Knight, if soundtracked by Queen (with that f*cking synthesizer sound in the trailer).

e. I bet Djimon felt horrible being dressed up like a third-rate Shaka Zulu or worse ... the leftover Witch Doctor makeup from Serpent and the Rainbow.

^ This f*cking trailer is all over the place. It's like the editor went high on angel dust and was thinking he was David Lynch editing Dune.

I'm not even going to bother watching the trailer as I can't stand Russel "I aint funny as I think I am" Brand.

The only reason why I'd see this is because Chris Cooper and Alan c*mming are in it. Otherwise, I'd probably take a pass.

Although I did enjoy the touch of Sigur Ros there at the end.....love that group.

I couldn't take this trailer seriously. Russell Brand is trying not to be funny but instead he's failing. This film kind of reminds of 'Stardust'. Not seeing this film at all.

I for one think this actually looks worth seeing. It doesn't have the same over the top obviously CGI look all of Hollywoods big movies have today. It has the look most Julie Taymor films have, she's more artistic visually than she is realistic, that's the whole point. And I agree, Sigur Ros was a nice touch.

She's worth the risk ol' Judy.

Titus was amazing.
Across the Universe.... Not so much.
Sure it had some great bits, but overall....
Jumbled mess.
