Josh Brolin Says "Goonies 2" Script ExistsSubmit Comment
During the interviews for "Wall Street 2," Josh Brolin has been constantly asked about whether fans will ever get to see a sequel to "Goonies," a film that Brolin starred in twenty five years ago.

Speaking to Starpulse, the actor admitted that he's tired of that question. "People refuse to let go of this film," he said. "It's gotten so I've told interviewers, 'We're all planning the sequel and I'm meeting with Meryl Streep about it,' and the next day, I've actually seen it reported as exclusive news."

Brolin went on to revealed that script for "Goonies 2" has already been written. "I saw ['Goonies' co-writer and producer] Steven Spielberg on the street and I asked for the reality [of a sequel]," he said. "I hear there is a script, yes, but there's no talk about doing a 'Goonies' sequel at this very moment."

Someone go dig up Corey Feldman's career and tell him that he doesn't have to keep beating a dead horse with Lost Boys any more.

Goonies is a classic , No way they can make the sequal anywhere near as good.

That being the case why bother making it at all.

Goonies is of many movies from the 80' that has stood the test of time that can be enjoyed by those new to cinema. Just like Big Trouble in Little China, Rocky, and the masterpiece Iron Eagle 1 (The revenge of Chappy Sinclair). There are just too many to name, I'll stop here.

It's not a sequal im worried about its the hated word of "Remake" pisses me off thinking bout it.

I pray they never do at this point.

It will get remade before it gets a sequel.

In the world of hated remakes and sequels, this is honestly one movie I would like to have seen a sequel to. It would have been great to bring back all the characters as adults, with kids of their own with a premise of them trying to hide their adventure from their kids who are just as rambunctious as they were. To me, it would have been cool to see what happened over the years. Who married who. How the treasure changed their lives.

I'm still laughing at Brolins Movie with Megan Fox how much it flopped at the box office haha maybe feldman might get a chance on the screen again since his butt buddy died and has no chance of milking the lost boys or can't make a vh1 show anymore

@Bunny - that would be the best way to see another Goonies, for sure.

As for Brolin saying a 'script exists'... LOTS OF SCRIPTS EXIST DOUCHE BAG!

I could see a kidsless goonies where all the original characters have grown up and fallen into dull lifestyles and an Indiana Jones type of adventure presents itself and they all jump at the chance to break the mundane... mostly just short round, Jonah Hex, Rudy, and Corey... maybe Sloth...
