Tim Burton's "Frankenweenie" Announces Cast

Tim Burton has announced the cast for his upcoming stop-motion movie "Frankenweenie," which is based on his 1984 short film that was one of his first helming gigs.

The cast includes actors who Burton has worked with in the past, including Winona Ryder (Edward Scissorhands, Beetlejuice), Martin Landou (Ed Wood), Martin Short (Mars Attacks) and Catherine O'Hara (Beetlejuice, A Nightmare Before Christmas).

Plot: When young Victor's pet dog Sparky is hit by a car, Victor decides to bring him back to life the only way he knows how. But when the bolt-necked "monster" wreaks havoc and terror in the hearts of Victor's neighbors, he has to convince them (and his parents) that despite his appearance, Sparky's still the good loyal friend he's always been.

Ryder will voice Elsa, Landau will voice Mr. Rzykruski, while and O'Hara will voice several characters each. Short plays Bob, Nassor, Toshiaki, Victor's Dad, and Mr. Bergermeister. O'Hara voices Edgar, Weird Girl, Victor's Mom, and Gym Teacher.

Written by John August (Charlie and the Chocolate Factor, Corpse Bride), Disney has scheduled the film for March 9th, 2012.

Too bad he couldn't get Johnny Depp for this. It would be interesting and funny to see them together looking awkward. He Probaly couldn't resist boning her either. Shes gotta give some good head for him to have tattooed "Winona Forever."

Wow, finally a "Frankenweenie" remake! It's official - Tim Burton is completely out of ideas. Maybe we'll get a stop-motion, musical, remake of "Edward Scissorhands" next.

WTF? No Helena Bonham Carter?

Tim calls his c*ck Frankenweenie when he's boning Helena Bonham Carter. Or when she's boning him with the strap-on.
