Hackers and Pirates Crash the MPAA Website in ProtestSubmit Comment
Website 4chan just recently helped catch the girl who recorded herself drowning puppies in a river, and is now on a different mission. Hundreds of thousands of users of the site got together to take down the website of AiPlex Software, which is an anti-piracy group.

The way AiPlex protects content by simply going to websites that host the material and then launches a DDoS attack until the entire website crashes. This is considered a terrible, and possibly illegal, way to remove protected content off the internet.

4chan users weren't just going to take this. "We have the manpower, we have the botnets, it's time we do to them what they keep doing to us," the site posted when the users launched their own DDoS attack on the AiPlex website, crashing it almost immediately. Then they moved on to crashing the MPAA website, which is known for hiring AiPlex. The site eventually went down as well and stayed down for over eighteen hours.

The MPAA site has since moved to a new IP-address and is now up again. But for how long? If the MPAA and AiPlex continue to play these games with top pirate sites, there is a good chance they won't win.

Clear evidence of a group to not to be messed with. The art of this is amazing, with possibly little to no preparation, that many Hackers, Crackers, Pirates descended apon them at the same time. Its beautiful. I only wish I could have been among the ones who B slapped MPAA.

The site eventually went down as well and stayed down for over eighteen hours ... apparently longer than it takes for them to rate a movie as NC-17 because some 10 year old boy in Topeka, Kansas might catch a flash of bush and vag in a movie that his Protestant mother might not approve of.

f*ck the MPAA with an unlubricated aluminum bat. Repeatedly.

The MPAA might want to take notes from the Europeans on how to handle sex. The Europeans embrace it. Frankly, the MPAA would only embrace sex if they wear body condoms first.

The MPAA wouldn't know how mature Americans handle sexual content in their movies if it came up and fisted them in the rear till they had blood in their anal discharge.
