Hawkeye's "The Avengers" Outfit to be Reality-Based

Posted: September 16th, 2010 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
HawkeyeSubmit Comment
MTV News caught up with Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker) during "The Town" press junket asked if Hawkeye will wear the classic purple costume in "The Avengers" movie.

"I think it's going to be a little more reality-based," he said. "You can kind of tell with Scarlett [Johansson]'s character [in 'Iron Man 2'], it's going to be more of a uniform and not a big purple, comics sort of thing."

Renner added that it's a possibility that his and Johansson's characters could become romantically involved in the movie, just like in the comics. "We will [have a relationship], I think, in this one as well," he explained. "We're kind of a team, and what that relationship is, is still to be discovered."

I would like it if he does start out in the suit but then comes out of nowhere to the rescue in a cool out. There's gotta be some type of suit with this guy. Even if it's a Blade type kind of suit IMO

Hawkeye has the gayest costume at Marvel~ a purple and pink knights outfit with a loincloth and domino mask?
no chance in hell they were ever going to put Jeremy Renner in that. Ultimates leathers and cybernetic goggles are where it's at.

Yeah Ultimate Bullseye...oops I mean Ultimate Hawkeye is pretty bad ass. Well except for the fact that he's known to the other Ultimates affectionately as "The Guy on our Team that Won't Stop Whining Like a Little Bitch..."

But you know gritty remakes are pretty much all the same, and at least they didn't give him bone claws coming out of his hands...

And for the record, Hawkeye saw some clips of Iron Man running around being badass superhero guy, and decided that since he was a halfway decent marksman, and with rudimentary knowledge of science of technology he figured he could be just as adored and respected as the schmuck in a large tin can. So he put on a costume, whipped up some trick arrows and decided to do the hero thing...

...And quickly had the misfortune of running into...

...Drum roll please.

...The Black Widow.

Who at the time was this Russian chick that was a Soviet Spy (Big surprise there.), who was trying to escape from a particular Avenger in a Tin Can, well because she was a Soviet spy and he was an actual superhero.

And Black Widow, whose only real ability back then was to suck a mean c*ck, saw Hawkeye and thought that she'd play like she was little innocent Russian accented damsel in distress, and needed Hawkeye to rescue her from Iron Man.

...And Hawkeye pretty quickly took Iron Man down like he was a bitch in a Tin can...

...With mostly crappy arrows that retarded MacGyver could have made.

Again to summarize, Hawkeye put on his costume on for the very first time, and a couple of hours later, the Black Widow/Hawkeye relationship began.

And that was back when the Black Widow was primarily an Iron Man villain, and she wouldn't meet Captain America for a while.

And really in comparison do you really think that Ultimate Hawkeye would even have a remote chance in hell of taking on Ultimate Iron Man? You know completely spur of the moment with hardly an ounce of pre-planning, and take him down like...

...Well like a completely pathetic bitch?

But you know how it is, the Ultimate version was drawn much prettier and better detailed, so of course the majority of most comic book fans would have a hard on for that one...

...But to me it has always been the stories that mattered.

If I wanted pretty pictures, I'll go look at some porn.

JohnZee...what's the bone claws comment have anything to do with Hawkeye?
JohnZee writes:

Vampires_suck:

The way I look at it any normal person would quickly be able to answer your question by actually reading the sentence you are questioning me about:

"(Talking about Hawkeye and his gritty Ultimate reboot.) But you know gritty remakes are pretty much all the same, and at least they didn't give him bone claws coming out of his hands..."

This comment confuses you?

I am not really saying that Hawkeye Ultimates or not, was ever given bone claws. I'm saying AT LEAST Marvel didn't decide to give him bone claws, because that would be even dumber then what they did do to him.

But you know that you picking out the words "bone claws" out of my entire statement and having issues with me using them speaks volumes.

And my suggestion would be to take out your dvd copy of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and watch the part where the young sickly bad child actor suddenly sprouts his "bone claws" in one of the most ridiculous cinematic scenes in the history of ridiculous cinematic scenes.
