"Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" Star is Female Lead in "Sherlock Holmes 2"Submit Comment
Noomi Rapace, the Swedish star of "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo," has signed on for her first English-language role which is the female lead in the sequel to "Sherlock Holmes."

The follow-up reunites most of the team from the original: Robert Downey Jr as Holmes and Jude Law as Dr. Watson. Guy Ritchie is back in the director's chair and is planning to begin filming later this year.

The story is being kept a secret, although it is known that Holmes will face off against Moriarty. Also making an appearance will be Holmes' brother, Mycroft. Sources say that Rapace's character may be a French Gypsy.

I enjoyed the first one. This one needs to be better because I've been spoiled after watching "Sherlock", the new British show which was amazing. Can't wait for Season 2.

It's always nice to see a fellow Swede succeed, but if it's all because of the "Dragon Tattoo", then I don't consider it fair. I don't care what everybody says, she was not good in that film.

French Gypsie eh? So she came to London because France threw here out?

Bet his character is going to bone her and catch a wart or two

I disagree nightmare. She was extremely good in Dragon Tattoo, but the whole trilogy is kind a meh...

I know one thing from looking at that photo:this girl hasn't been f*cked properly...

She certainly looks more lickable, dipped in honey, than that skank David Fincher hired.

a. We all knew he would have to face Moriarty. That's the genius behind have a NOVEL before the movie, Alex.

b. I bet Mycroft is glad his name wasn't Mycro(So)ft. Sherlock would tease him constantly, calling him " Mr. Softie " ... and not because he sells ice cream.

c. I'd rather see her as a French Maid in crotchless panties for easy tongue action than a French Gypsy.

At least their doing a sequal to a pretty good movie instead of some sh*thouse movie.

Glad she's being offered bigger roles. She was great in Dragon Tattoo. Not seen the other two yet.

hopefully they got rid of that other bitch holmes was into she was completely unnecessary.

Ok, so NOW I know the real reason Noomi Rapace did not go after the lead in the American re-makes of "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" trilogy (which are wholly unnecessary re-makes anyway---borne solely out of American bonehead resistance to subtitles).
I hope she made the right decision!
She is a real babe, and I hope has a fabulous career ahead of her!

My God, she's gorgeous!

I think the sequel is gonna be an epic bomb, but Noomi can change that.
