Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp in Talks for "Nemesis" Comic Book Movie

Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp in Talks for "Nemesis" Comic Book MovieSubmit Comment
Last month, we learned that 20th Century Fox has acquired screen rights to Mark Millar's (Wanted, Kick-Ass) graphic novel, called "Nemesis," and has attached Tony Scott (Enemy of the State, True Romance) to direct.

Now, Millar has revealed to BBC that Scott is actually in talks with Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp to star in the new film. "I just got a call from [Scott], literally about a month ago," he explained. "It was one of those very surreal things. This is a $150 million budget. He said 'Who do you fancy for it?' ... I said 'I dunno, Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp.' So he said 'That's good, we'll give them a call'."

"Nemesis" focuses on Matt Anderson, a billionaire genius who is the world's greatest fighter, bent on avenging the death of his beloved parents. The twist is, they were villains and he is also a bad guy, a costumed vigilante who travels the world, picking off top cops. He returns to Washington DC to launch a campaign of terror against Blake Morrow, the police chief who captured the caped vigilante's parents.

Well they sure would make for a kick ass cast, two cool guys, but this sounds fishy, and dorky!

I might give a sh*t if it wasn't a bimonthly comic that's taking forever for the third issue
based on the illustrations i'd pick Paul Bettany or Cillian Murphy
I like Pitt but he's getting on

If this is true, this will be the end of Millar's short ass career.

150m. for THIS?

FLOP!!

Also, Brad and Johnny would never disgrace themselves with such sh*t.

This is just the Millar ass clown daydreaming in public. Loser.

Cast Matt Damon, instant hit.

They should cast Team America Matt Damon for the part.

no Brad Pitt, no. Stick to what you should be doing ...playing John Marston in the Red Dead Redemption movie. Now THAT is good casting.

just read issue 2 of Nemesis, and I think the 3rd issue came out today. I'm really loving this series. Nemesis really is proving to be the Anti-batman.

The key problem with this is the same as it was with Wolverine : Origins ....

20th Century Fox

I smell sh*t on this and it hasn't even fell out of the Fox's ass yet.

I'm not that worried. 20th Century Fox rarely disappoints.

the only disappointment will be the money they spend, just take mels last tapes and make a revenage movie with mel going to communist russia killing and raping all in his way, btw retired cia spy, like 4281 dollar garantee by bowfinger

that would be pretty amazing if one of those two took the part
rabid writes:

hmm... the cop should be older though for the comic's storyline to work. The cop he's after busted Nemesis' dad's call-girl ring when he was just a tot. So the cop will need to be 40+.
