Bruce Willis to Voice The Thing in "Fantastic Four" Reboot?Submit Comment
20th Century Fox is in the middle of putting together their "Fantastic Four" reboot and we're hearing lots of casting rumors. Since The Thing will be completely CG this time, the studio is looking for actors to lend their voices to the character. And according to CBM and ScreenRant, Bruce Willis and Kiefer Sutherland ("24") are in talks for the part.

Regarding directors, David Yates (four "Harry Potter" films), James McTeigue (V for Vendetta, Ninja Assassin) and Joe Carnahan (The A-Team, Smokin' Aces) are being considered to helm.

As previously reported, Adrien Brody (Predators) is the top contender to play Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Alice Eve (She's Out of My League) is the top choice for Sue Storm (Invisible Woman) and Kevin Pennington ("90120") is rumored to play Johnny Storm (Human Torch).

Save money and ask someone else.Anybosy with a gruff voice will do,Ron Peralman at half the price for example.

Ron seems a better choice than Bruce..

Hope he passes on this because he's Making Die Hard 5 ...

If Willis does, I hope his new catch phrase will be, "yippy-Kai-ay, motherf*cker! It's clobberin time."

Ron Pearlman will the right choice for this, but Keifer or Bruce will do as well!

and get James McTeigue!!
coolguy writes:

James McTeigue should definately direct this. Ninja Assassin was insane, put action like that in this movie; ill pay to watch it

LOL....Good choice

Willis is a horrible choice for this. Like Rocket said they need someone with a gruff voice and preferably a heavy NY accent. And whoever suggested James McTeigue to direct should be fired immediately. He hasn't made a halfway decent film in decades and might be one of Hwood's biggest disappointments imo. C'mon people, Ninja Assassin was TERRIBLE!!!

samcro all the way!
rabid writes:

Willis sounds just like the Thing, but he won't look like him as Ben Grimm. Guess that means we don't get an origin story, which is a good thing.
rabid writes:

I just hope they keep in mind Thing is only 6 feet tall, not Incredible Hulk sized.
Inception writes:

Mr. Willis you are better than this, let Kiefer Sutherland handle this.

For a second I thought the headline said: "Bruce Willis to Voice His Thing in Fantastic Four Reboot?"

I was like, that's interesting.

@rambo

lmao, nice! but, seriously, Johnny los some serious weight without loosing the awesomness.

Give it to Carnahan. His movies are pure balls. And that's what FF needs.

Hire a voice actor. It would be better quality for less money.

It doesn't matter who voices the Thing STOP MAKING THESE STUPID f*ckING MOVIES.

The first two were god awful and they just continue to think "hmmm I bet we can still do this: Open up wide dear public cause we're gonna sh*t on ur faces one more time and this one is extra runny."

Thats right they're gonna sh*t on us yet again and won't even have the courtesy to offer a toothbrush.
RoadDogXVIII writes:

Wade Williams would make a better choice. He sounds like he can do a gruffy Noo Yawk accent. Let's get a taller actor as Mr. Fantastic (Alexis Denisoff).

Oh, please, not another CGI. No matter how good the work may be, it's never convincing enough to make you forget what you're seeing IS a CGI. Remember The Hulk movie?
