"Toy Story 3" Crosses $1 Billion MarkSubmit Comment
Just two weeks after become the highest-grossing animated film of all time, Disney/Pixar is happy to announce that their "Toy Story 3" movie has now crossed the $1 billion mark at the worldwide box office.

The only other films to do so are "Avatar" ($2.74 billion), "Titanic" ($1.84 billion), "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" ($1.12 billion), "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" ($1.07 billion), "Alice in Wonderland" ($1.02 billion) and "The Dark Knight" ($1 billion).

"It's been an incredible year as we saw the Pixar team bring Buzz and Woody back to the big screen and watched Tim Burton's vision for 'Alice in Wonderland' take the world by storm," said Disney Chairman Rich Ross. "These box office triumphs prove that creative storytelling brought to life by imaginative, inspired and talented professionals is something audiences respond to the world over."

Disney Chairman saying that both TS3 and Alice are both great is an insult to TS3.

Alice has one of the worst scripts of the year.

Dreamworks should just smile and blow them

Alice was stupid and TS was boring.

If it wasn't for the accursed 3D they wouldn't have made HALF what Pirates made 4 years ago.

Well to me this is not good news considering it was the worst of the three, only redeeming thing was the ending everything else was boring.

But if it overtakes sh*tanic and Gayvaturd then I will be as happy as a pig in sh*t.

@Rambo: I only saw the PoTC movies for Captain Barbossa.

I'm happy for Pixar. If they keep this up they will be the most sucessful animation studio in history.

Hopefully they are smart enough not to make a Toy Story 4.

@tt - I'd be happy with The Expendables taking in fewer $'s but delivering a ton more sequels!
