"Star Wars" Deleted Scene Conspiracy

"Star Wars" Deleted Scene ConspiracySubmit Comment
George Lucas recently announced that all six "Star Wars" film will be released on Blu-ray in fall of 2011, with lots of new bonus material, including deleted scene. He then went on to premiere one of these deleted scenes, which shows Luke Skywalker working on his green lightsaber before taking on Jabba the Hutt's palace and then stashing it in R2-D2's head.

During the presentation, fans are heard cheering over the new footage. But according to Mark Hamill from a 2009 Comic-Con interview, that wasn't him in that scene. "I never shot a scene like that," he explained. "I would remember if I had done something like, and I didn't."

Check out the deleted scene and Mark Hamill's denial below.

Think it was obvious that wasn't him. It was so dark in that scene which made it perfect to use someone else.

Lucas is milking a dead cow. And now he's literally just making things up. Time for 3 more movies George. No one cares anymore.

Conspiracy?? Either that or Mark Hammill suffering from amnesia

THAT'S NOT MARK HAMILL! IT'S CG!!
it's a conspiracy conspiracy!

Wasn't he in a car accident during the filming of Return of the Jedi?
It could have been knocked out of him
or considering you never see his face, who gives a sh*t?

That's right Mark, you tell Lucas to shove it up his ass!
rabid writes:

Yeah, I was pretty certain it wasn't him. They probably filmed this thing last month or something.
CCBlev writes:

Monash- It was during Empire, Irvin Kershner actually had it be part of the scene where he's recovering from the wampa attack.

Its obviously not Hamill, but the crowd needs to chill the scene isnt even that good or cool. And wow does Hamill look like sh*t

If Lucas released all the remaining material for the Special Editions, the it is obvious this is not part of the original reel, back in the 80'.

Lucas wants more money from you and me. Too bad I'm a Star Wars fanboy.
Rambo writes:

Did he ever shoot a scene since star wars??what a hack..
Lost Dude writes:

When I saw the clip, I thought it was the emperor constructing the light saber. Lucas just wants more money and take advantage of everyone with a blu-ray player, it's not going to look any better.

Rambo-doesn't matter to me, he voices the joker and he was Luke, and if he ever goes crazy like Gibson, well i'll just like him more!

@LostDude

My thoughts exactly, i thought it was Ian McDiarmid in a cave!
jaz_mayor writes:

Told you it didn't look like him because they never showed his face. When I commented on that clip I joked that Lucas might have just made that clip up for the blu-ray version, now it seems true. Damn Lucas will do anything to make a buck.
arkflash writes:

From the Lucas archives comes this deleted from TESB:

Darth Vader: You may take Captain Solo to Jabba the Hutt after I have Skywalker.
Boba Fett: He's no good to me dead.
Darth Vader: He will not be permanently damaged.
Boba Fett: f*ck You.
The Bounty Hunter walks off in disgust.
Darth Vader (to Stormtrooper): What did he say?

@arkflash: LOL, That's gold!
cmpaller writes:

The scene had to shot. I have seen storyboards for it. I know that alone does not mean anything, but if you listen to the Special Edition soundtracks from 1997 the score for that scene is added to the soundtrack.
Slyer writes:

at least ol' marky knew about the post production shots. and its funny how after 20 some odd years these seens show up outta george's ass.

Johnny Neat writes:

I will forgive Lucas for all his retarded ideas if he did the last three films and encouraged everyone to do their respected rolls when ever applicable and have someone like Steven Spielberg and others direct. Don't even try directing George, cause you're terrible now.
Attos writes:

Forget this.
I'm still sad that Mark Hamill is only going to voice The Joker one last time.

Sad face.
