Major "Green Lantern" Spoilers Revealed

Major "Green Lantern" Spoilers RevealedSubmit Comment
It has been rumored that the upcoming "Green Lantern" movie will feature a villain named Krona, who created parallel universes (multiverse). CBM has now confirmed the rumor and has revealed details from the film's plot.

MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD:

* Krona becomes the first "host" to Parallax, a demonic parasitic entity that is the embodiment of fear. It travels from world to world, causing entire civilizations to destroy themselves out of paranoia. This will be a prologue of the movie.

* Parallax doesn't just feed off of fear, it rips the souls out of it's victims; leaving dried "husks" of the corpses.

* Parallax/Krona attacks Abin Sur's ship, which causes him to crash land on Earth and die, handing over the ring to Hal Jordan.

* While performing an autopsy on the corpse of Abin Sur, Hector Hammond becomes infected by a fragment of Parallax which causes him to gain exponential telepathic and telekinetic powers.

* Hammond attacks Hal Jordan and Carol Ferris (whom he harbors feelings towards) at the Ferris airfield hanger, a similar scene to the one in the Green Lantern Secret Origins comic; the difference being that Hammond wants Hal's Green Lantern ring.

* Hammond is ultimately killed by Parallax, who absorbs his soul in the manner mentioned above.

* Parallax fights Hal Jordan and Carol Ferris on Earth. The fight is unevenly matched until other members of the Green Lantern Corps arrive.

This villain is cheezy, but he did one important thing for the GLCorps. He created Qward, the antimatter universe and all the parallel realities.
I don't know how I feel about him allying with Parallax. Why are they even using Parallax this early. The character is weak, and he was only created to explain the reason he couldn't affect the yellow spectrum.

Not even reading this.

And as for the GL... why are they taking the worst story line in the Green Lantern history (I wasn't evil it was an alien fear monster named Parallax) and putting it into the movie. Clearly it will make a return in GL3. But obviously, unlike the comics Hal won't go nuts and kill all the other green lanterns. He'll be stopped at the last moment by his love for Ferris or some stupid sh*t. So why even have the storyline? Might as well have him Kerouac across the US with Green Arrow. Can't we get a real story instead of alien fear monsters? I was really excited about the GL movie but after hearing this? Meh.

Oh well looks like everyone knows what happens now, no need to watch it, time to make Deadpool.

green lantern will rule the expendables was a waste of an opportunity but id give it at least a 6 though....and while everyone has opinions on movies anyone who gives sex and the city a positive review and is not gay or female has no place to judge the expendables

The story's pretty much the same classic story retold over the last half a century. They've just replaced Terminus with Krona.
