SHH has learned that Marvel Studios is planning to begin shooting "The Avengers" in February of 2011 in Los Angeles, which is only two months after the "Spider-Man" reboot begins filming, also in LA.
Directed by Joss Whedon, "The Avengers" stars Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson.
In addition, we have a great three-minute, black and white, fan-made trailer for "The Avengers" from 1952, which is before the actual comic book was created. Check it out below.

A bit odd...It seems like all these old films and silent films are making their way back in to modern society. Which is pretty cool if you ask me. It was a bit of an interesting take with the old 52' look for The Avengers. lol
The only thing I'm doubting about this movie is the absence of Ant-Man and Wasp, and the inclusion of War-Machine. Don Cheadle is acceptable as Rhodey, but we really don't need to see War-Machine on the Avengers team. I'm hoping its just a walk-on role.
What is wrong with that? From what I've read, Thor is in post production and Captain America is still filming. To be honest, I think it's a good idea to start filming right away, so the actors are still in character lol.
