The trailer for the upcoming "The Winning Season" comedy, starring Sam Rockwell (Iron Man 2), Emma Roberts (Nancy Drew) and Rob Corddry (Hot Tub Time Machine), has appeared online. Check it out below.

Plot: Set in suburban Indiana, the film revolves around Bill Greaves (Rockwell), an adult misfit recruited by the local high school principal (Corddry) to coach the school’s floundering girls’ basketball team. Initially retreating from what appears to be a hopeless situation, Bill perseveres and manages to help the team and its captain (Roberts) ratchet up its competitive spirit, while the girls offer Bill a renewed life focus. THE WINNING SEASON also stars Shareeka Epps, Emily Rios and Margo Martindale.

The new movie is written and directed by James C. Strouse (Grace Is Gone) and has already appeared at several film festivals. It is scheduled to get a limited release in NY and Los Angeles on September 3rd.

Sam Rockwell and Rob Cordry is always awesome, but this looks really boring. Cordry also seems to play is ordinary character, which is a huge bummer. But Emma Roberts has been growing up nicely.

Big Tate: The answer to your question is 90% "no".

I probably won't watch this flick but I do like Sam Rockwell and hope that he is in the next Iron Man movie.
