Deadline is reporting that Bruce Willis and Sigourney Weaver are now in talks to star in "The Cold Light of Day," a thriller that Summit Entertainment will begin filming on September 6th in Spain.

In the movie, Henry Cavill ("The Tudors") plays a young American whose family is kidnapped on vacation in Spain. He's got hours to find them, and unravels a government conspiracy. Willis will play his father, who has secrets of his own. Weaver will play the villain, a role that was originally written for a male actor.

"The Cold Light of Day" is directed by El Mekchri, the helmer behind Jean-Claude Van Damme's "JCVD."

Why does the premise remind me of 8 Heads in a Duffel Bag as filtered through If Looks Could Kill (taken seriously) or a teen version of Taken, with the victims ages and genders changed ?

I dare say that Van Damme deserved an Oscar for "JCVD". And no, I'm not intoxicated.
