Marvel Planning "Doctor Strange," "Black Panther" and "Iron Fist" Movies

Marvel Planning "Doctor Strange," "Black Panther" and "Iron Fist" MoviesSubmit Comment
During the San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige was asked about what the company is working on after "The Avengers" hits theaters in 2012.

"What happens after 'Avengers' is what's being discussed now," he said. "Obviously, you've heard about Doctor Strange. I've been a vocal fan of Strange for a long time. Black Panther, I think, I mentioned recently. Fraction and Brubaker's reinvention of Iron Fist has gotten me excited to do some version of that in our world."

While there are rumors that Nathan Fillion (Serenity) may end up play the title character in an "Ant-Man" movie, Feige killed the rumor that Patrick Dempsey ("Grey's Anatomy") is being considered to play Doctor Strange. When asked about Dempsey, he chuckled and said "No."

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Nestor Carbonell was born to play Dr Strange!

No character deserves a movie more than Dazzler. Why not start working on that?

Followed by X-men Origins: Phat.

Come on Marvel, get your act straight.

the only smaller characters i want to see have their own movies are Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, and Luke Cage

i actually agree with Rabid, milk it until it's red and bleeding and then a couple days after the cow is dead.

Black Panther sucks. They'd be alot better off filming Luke Cage if Marvel really wants to attract a black audience. Iron Fist, that may definitely need a well known star rather than a new person for it to work out. Dr Strange, Whatever....

This guy needs to shut the f*ck up. He's a public relations $3.00 whore that would be f*cked in the back alley of Circus Circus.

Patrick Dempsey as Doc Strange ? That's as bad as David Hasselhoff as Nick Fur .... damn.

Iron Fist will remind me so much of American Ninja starring ... what the f*ck was that losers name ? Chuck Rothrock ? Jenny Speakman ? Mickey Doodicough ?

I mean, f*ck, didn't they learn from Street Fighter and that f*ckin' reboot ? Obviously not.

f*cking Epic Fail brought to you by Marvel f*cking Epic Asshat Comics.

Wonder if when they film Black Panther if they'll splice in informercial clips from Save The Children of those Ethopian babies and kids with the big pot bellies, skinny arms and flies hanging around their mouth.
rabid writes:

Black Panther does NOT suck. He's like a mix of Batman and Captain America. And I sense more merchandising value with him than any other Marvel character, Spidey included. All they have to do is make the film right and they'll hit a huge untapped market.
rabid writes:
on July 26th, 2010 at 11:15:36 AM

They can't film Luke Cage. Marvel doesn't have the rights to it anymore. And unless they can get them back, they shouldn't even attempt an Iron Fist movie. Whoever broke up the rights to Cage and Fist and sold them seperately is a moron and deserves to be jobless.

@Rabid
i'll have an ounce of what your smoking because luke cage, black panther and iron fist together wouldn't come close to matching spideys merchandise
rabid writes:

I think Black Panther's just second-tier because Marvel has never done much to promote him. A big budget movie could change everything. But his look and his legend have all the potential you need to sell the sh*t out of kid products.
