Trailer: Edward Norton's "Stone" Thriller

Posted: July 22nd, 2010 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
Trailer: Edward NortonSubmit Comment
The official trailer for the upcoming "Stone" thriller, starring Robert De Niro, Edward Norton and Milla Jovovich, has appeared online. Check it out below.

Plot: As parole officer Jack Mabry (De Niro) counts the days toward a quiet retirement, he is asked to review the case of Gerald "Stone" Creeson (Norton), in prison for covering up the murder of his grandparents with a fire. Now eligible for early release, Stone needs to convince Jack he has reformed, but his attempts to influence the older man's decision have profound and unexpected effects on them both. Stone skillfully weaves together the parallel journeys of two men grappling with dark impulses, as the line between lawman and lawbreaker becomes precariously thin.

The new movie will be directed by John Curran, who has previously worked with Norton on "The Painted Vail" back in 2006. "Stone" is scheduled to hit theaters on October 8th, in limited release.

So tired of Norton's scowl. Worked best in American history X but he should change it up. Try what James franco did and do a comedy
BigTate writes:

Yes, this trailer came out a while ago.
Norton did that pot-head comedy where he plays twins.
Milla might have finally started to become an actress!

What the f*ck is up with the corn-rows? Not exactly your typical whitetrash prison 'do. Maybe he just got back from Spring Break in Cancun when they arrested him? Does he have his name tramp-stamped above his ass crack and weird tan lines too?
Crazyhorse writes:

Heres an idea

Get Mel Gibsons wife to video tape Gerald "Stone" Creeson (Norton), and watch just how crazy that scene gets

@BIGTATE: what movie are you talking about? you remember the name?
SACdaddy writes:

Two great actors and Mila's hot little piece of ass, you'd think the film would look more interesting than this trailer makes it. Quick prediction, Mila doesn't get naked :(

Agreed SAC. I'm sure we'll get a lot of boney back shots though. Remember in the first Resident Evil, when that little napkin thing she was wearing moves to the side and you see her pooter?

its funny that of all the actors in That 70s show; Milas Kunis is the one having the biggest career.

What a bore that trailer was !!!

Who's guiding De Niro Career now ? Eddie Murphy.

He's not made a great film since heat (1995), Thats too long for guy who out of his first 15 or so movies 8 or 9 of them are cinematic masterpieces.

Adv Rocky, Showtime, City under sea, Godsend, Analyze That, Righteous Kill and many many more. This looks average at best and Little Fockers looks really bad.

Maybe it's time to take a break bobby for your and our sakes, I hate to see you in movies that Steve Guttenberg could make.

If they didn't go with the really obvious route of having Milla sleep with De Niro and focused on the guy's redemption and their parallels it'd be better. But nope God forbid we build interesting characters and just have sex as the momentum behind everything.

trailertrash writes:

ted- lol , I didn't even bother to see that movie !!

A De Niro film used to be a movie event, but not anymore.

max- Does this mean kurt wont have to make Final Destination 5 or what ever it's called now then...
trailertrash writes:

encore-
American History X and fight club are great movies and i didn't mind the score with brando and De Niro either.

He can do this type of movie in his sleep..
JohnZee writes:
on July 22nd, 2010 at 8:02:47 PM

I don't think it is a great movie. But I think that De Niro and Norton have done so good in the past that the bar and expectations are set pretty damned high.

But is has potential. And I can certainly dig that whole part about De Niro's character having a pretty decent capability to do the wrong thing and sin...

...even if it isn't on the same level as Norton's character. The very fact that De Niro's character has issues with coping with the fact that he has just as much potential to do the wrong thing as any man could make for a very watchable movie.

But right now just a DVD movie, I just don't see enough there yet to pay full price theater prices to watch it.

I don't know, honestly. I think they've finally settled on Final Destination V - Paying Off The Executive Producers yacht and academy payments for his snotty daughter ...

but he's only been offered it right now.
