Lionsgate has released a brand new teaser trailer for the upcoming Ryan Reynolds' "Buried" thriller, which reveals a few more story details. Check it out below.

Plot: Paul Conroy (Reynolds) is not ready to die. But when he wakes up 6 feet underground with no idea of who put him there or why, life for the truck driver and family man instantly becomes a hellish struggle for survival. Buried with only a cell phone and a lighter, his contact with the outside world and ability to piece together clues that could help him discover his location are maddeningly limited. Poor reception, a rapidly draining battery, and a dwindling oxygen supply become his worst enemies in a tightly confined race against timeó fighting panic, despair and delirium, Paul has only 90 minutes to be rescued before his worst nightmare comes true.

The new film is directed by Rodrigo Cortes from a script by Chris Sparling and is expected to hit theaters on September 24th in limited released. It will then expand on October 8th.

Interesting, how can you make a good and fascinating trailer, practicly without any footage.

Can't wait for the soundtrack.

After seeing how green lantern look, only thing anyone wants that is to do with Ryan Reynolds is green lantern footage

Looks really good. So excited to see if the movie can maintain the pace with one actor and a bloody coffin

Sounds worse than Phone Booth. They need to add in Little Gamble, so he can have his boy take his head off.

I'll see it!

I'm actually more psyched for this than The Green Lantern. I like movies that rely much on the actors and here Reynolds will finally prove his worth. If this one sucks, The Green Lantern could be in trouble. But if it is awesome, well, then we might have a new Iron Man on our hands.

The only thing that worries me here is watching/listening to Ryan Reynolds for 90 minutes straight. In "Kill Bill Vol. 2", it didn't take long for Uma to get on my nerves in the buried alive scene. Besides that, this might end up being good. Atleast it's original and not a reboot or a remake, although I'm sure someone will say it's ripping off some low budget foreign film no one's ever heard of before.

was it homage to shia in the end with the..."no no no no..." ?

I got plans on seeing this. If only Ryan was trapped in there with Scarlett for 90 mins with her catsuit from Iron Man 2 on. I'd watch them go at for 90 mins, who wouldn't?

They better not do the same thing with the upcoming GL teaser as they did with this "slideshow" of a trailer ! I'll still see this movie though sounds intense.

No one can take on Green Lantern, Deadpool, Hannibal King & Van Wilder hostage! But maybe Ryan Reynolds.

Anyone else notice how they added an extra strip last moment to have six for the letters of "Buried?" Cuz it was five the entire time before the end.

Dear Lord, why can't they leave the damn plot twist OUT of the trailer? Seriously. Stupid.

im sure the movie will be made up full of flashbacks and not just reynolds in a coffin

If this ends up being good and makes bank, this would be a really nice lead-in for Green Lantern. Even though Reynolds is very well known as it is and many people will likely see Green Lantern because of its genre, the fact that its another Marvel adaptation, and probably due to Martin Campbell's direction, I'd like to see Reynolds really display some acting chops in a top notch thriller before he ends up being remembered as Hal Jordan. Really praying this turns out great
