"Borat" Director Teams with Jim Carrey for "Pierre Pierre"Posted: July 20th, 2010 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
Larry Charles, the director behind Sacha Baron Cohen's "Bruno" and "Borat," is teaming up with Jim Carrey for a similar type of comedy called "Pierre Pierre." The plan is to make it for just over $20 million.
In the new movie, Carrey will play a Frenchman who transports a stolen painting from Paris to London, behaving more obnoxiously than any waiter you've ever encountered at Cannes.
Two years ago, the script for the movie by Edwin Cannistraci and Frederick Seton was sold for $1 million and made the Black List. Carrey was set to star and Jason Reitman (Juno, Up in the Air) was attached to direct. Eventually Reitman dropped out and the project fell into turnaround.

Could be funny, but the american French accent is getting old. Just have Jim play obnoxiously without the accent and it would be a semi-success.

As long as jim's character doesn't turn out like Steve Martin's Clouseau, That would be very unfunny ...

After I Love You Phillip Morris finally gets released, this hopefully will save his pathetic career.
First he f*cks Lauren Holly.
Than he f*cks his career.

"The plan is to make it for just over $20 million."
But Carrey's paycheck is usually $20 million

I give Jim two years before he commits suicide.
And I don't mean the career kind.
