Video: Peter Jackson Unveils His Childhood MovieSubmit Comment
Late June, The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) held a tribute for special effects legend Ray Harryhausen. John Landis (The Blues Brothers, Trading Places) introduced the many guests who spoke of Harryhausen, including Tim Burton, Ray Bradbury and Peter Jackson.

For the audience, Jackson (The Lord of the Rings) had a special treat. He brought a video of him as a fourteen-year-old boy re-enacting the Cyclops scene from Harryhausen's "The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad," showing the young director swinging at invisible skeletons. Check out the video below.

He said: "I was growing up wanting to do stop motion so badly, but at the end of the day, I wasn't very good at it, so directing was a far easier thing to do."

That fight with the cyclops was sweet.
