Today we have the trailer for "The Experiment," an upcoming remake of the German thriller "Das Experiment," with a cast comprised of Adrien Brody, Maggie Grace, Forest Whitaker, Clifton Collins Jr, and Cam Gigandet. Check it out below.
Plot: Selected to participate in a two-week research project, a group of men agree to play inmates and guards in a simulation of life within a state prison. But as the 24 volunteers slip deeper into their roles, power corrupts, fears escalate and the experiment spins horribly out of control.
Brody portrays the leader of the prisoners while Whitaker plays a guard who's corrupted by the power he's given. The film is based on the actual Stanford Prison Experiment.
"The Experiment" is written and directed by Paul Scheuring ("Prison Break" writer). It is heading straight to DVD and Blu-ray on September 21st.

Yeah, this looks like it would've deserved a theatrical release. Two good actor's in the lead, interesting story...oh, I now see why it can't get a proper release.

After "Predators" and now this, hopefully he'll get the tough-guy credibility he wants for any possible future roles he may want to pursue. Maybe then he can drop the Dirty Harry/Batman voice. It doesn't bug me, but it's unnecessary. It's not like his regular voice doesn't sound like the Undertaker from "Suburban Commando".

I never really pictured him as a tough guy til Predators. This could be good. The German version was great but kind of fell apart at the end. There's an older American version from the 80s but it's free of any kind of brutality.
