Don't Turn Off Your Cellphone During "Despicable Me" Posted: July 8th, 2010 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
Best Buy has teamed with Universal Pictures to create a mobile application designed to translate what the Minions (mischievous little yellow characters) in the movie "Despicable Me" are saying. The Minionator app only works during the end-credits of the movie, but will also translate the Minion language throughout the entire film on Best Buy's exclusive "Despicable Me" DVD, which is set to be released later this year. A phone in Best Buy Movie Mode automatically dims the mobile screen, silences the ringer and discourages texting to ensure audiences have a positive movie-going experience. Beyond the app, Movie Mode will offer users new movie enhancing experiences and exclusive content for future theatrical and DVD releases. The film is set to hit theaters this Friday (July 9th) and the app can be downloaded here.

that is a pretty cool app gotta say. but even though it "discourages texting", it'll probably just encourage it.

So when seeing the film it's rated g, but having the translator turns it into an R with all their cussing and discussions and what they'd love to do to Lindsey lohan in jail

So this is the future of movie watching. To get people to pay attention to their phones rather than the screen during a movie?

Soooo, every movie is going to be in 3D and you're encouraged to use your phone during them? Well that's it, I'm done going to the theaters now......

Phone on... phone off. I don't give a rat's ass, because I won't be in the theater for this movie to enjoy this new experience.
So French my balls Universal and BestBuy!

So they won't mind if I allow my ringtone to go off ... it's the newest Curtis " 50 Cent " Jackson song, " Steve Carell loves getting fisted in the club and so do I (the remix) " ...

I don't know about the rest of y'all, but I would enjoy to hear about a shooting at this ... it's like freeway high speed pursuit ... it may be dangerous, but it sure is damn entertaining.
