Steven Spielberg is directing the upcoming "War Horse" movie and has finished putting together a cast, which includes Jeremy Irvine ("Life Bites"), Emily Watson (Red Dragon), Stephen Graham (Snatch), Tom Hiddleston (Thor) and David Kross (The Reader). Check out a shot of the entire cast below.
Plot: Follows a young man named Albert (Irvine) and his horse, Joey, and how their bond is broken when Joey is sold to the cavalry and sent to the trenches of World War One. Despite being too young to enlist, Albert heads to France to save his friend.
"War Horse" is based on a novel by Michael Morpurgo, and is adapted for the big screen by Lee Hall (Billy Elliot) and Richard Curtis (Four Weddings and a Funeral). It is scheduled to hit theaters on August 10th, 2011.

Why would a Horse go to the TRENCHES of WW1? What use would a horse even have in trench warfare? Where there even any Horse Calvary in WW1? There are no horse units that I can recall off the top of my head other than perhaps the parade ground units that do the shiny, sparkly parades but never find their way to the battlefield because they are outdated and impractical...
