No Villain for BondPosted: February 2nd, 2006 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
According to Hollywood Reporter, Casino Royale has officially started filming in Prague last Friday, but the film is still missing the rest of the cast, mostly the leading lady (Bond Girl), and the villain.
Scenes of James Bond's love interest don't begin for more than a month, so the studio still has some time to find the right person. "They're talking to three to four girls right now," "Royale" screenwriter Paul Haggis said. "Every week I read there's a new Bond girl, and I call them and they say, No, you idiot."
In the past couple of days, rumours have been heard of potential Bond Girls. The two names that keep popping up are Thandie Newton (Crash) and Rachel McAdams (Red Eye). As far as the villain, the casting is much further along than for the Bond Girl role.

The villain should be Pierce Brosnan, cause I'm sure he's super pissed over losing the role.

I heard that Naomi Watts was going to be considered at one point, but she declined. That's too bad. She's really been one of my favorite actresses, ever since Mullholland Drive.
