The first five minutes from the upcoming "Get Him to the Greek" movie, starring Russell Brand and Jonah Hill, has been released online. Check it out below.
Plot: A record company intern (Hill) has three days to drag an uncooperative rock legend (Brand) to Hollywood for a comeback concert. As the countdown to the concert begins, he must navigate a minefield of London drug smuggles, New York City brawls and Vegas lap dances all while trying to remain faithful to his girlfriend (Elisabeth Moss).
Nick Stoller, who directed "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," is also helming the follow-up which is based on his own screenplay. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on Friday (June 4th).
"I saw something about war in Africa and I thought this isn't right is it? Then I called someone and it turns out it wasn't."
I'm sure it won't live up to Forgetting Sarah Marshall, but damn we just need something good in the theaters right now and I'm betting Russell Brand and Jonah Hill will prove entertaining enough for an awesome film.
" If he asks you to hide the candy in the jar, you hide the candy in the jar. "
That quote alone is worth to give this movie a try. I'll be overdosing on drugs, eating enough sugar to give a diabetic a epileptic seizure like they are tazed, drunk beyond any legal limits first, of course.
I was kinda hoping to see Jonah Hill because he's actually funny. I don't know what it is about Russell Brand, I just don't like him ... Ow right I know why, the douchebag is the reason why Katy Perry isn't single!
I came across that randomly a while back, good review, made me very hopeful like this 5 minute clip.
It's regretful that it'll draw so many comparisons to Forgetting Sarah Marshall because they're obviously very different movies. Whereas they're both Apatow Productions, Greek seems like a Hangover type comedy and Sarah Marshall was a 40 year old virgin combo of heartfelt and crudeness.
played out fatty Jonah Hill, terribly unfunny "comedian" Russell Brand.. throw in self obsessed fag can't make up his mind on names Sean Puff Daddy-diddy-do-ah-faddy Combs............................................................
Jason Segel's writing abilities for Forgetting Sarah Marshall ALONE make this spin-off/sequel worth seeing. I've been pumped to see this every since pre-production. I know it would live up to the hype of FSM and people need to realize this and stop comparing the two. It will still be a funny ass movie worth seeing this summer. All the cameos alone look hilarious. I have faith in Nicholas Stoller after FSM. I will Peter Bretter would make a cameo in this. I heard he may sing a song on stage with Aldous Snow. PLEASE SOMEONE SPOIL THAT TO ME ASAP IF HE DOES MAKE AN UNCREDITED CAMEO!!!!!
