Quentin Tarantino's Next is a Dracula Film?

Posted: May 25th, 2010 by WorstPreviews.com Staff

Austrian newspapers are reporting that director Quentin Tarantino (Inglourious Basterds) will soon spend four nights in Vienna to visit castles in the nearby countryside.

Kreuzenstein Castle in Lower Austria one of the locations for Nicolas Cage's "Season of the Witch" has been tipped as a possible location for Tarantino's new project. But what is this new project?

According to the papers, Tarantino is scouting locations for a Dracula movie. Consider this just a rumor since the papers are not providing any quotes or details.

Tarantino, just stick to doing Kill Bill 3. Last thing we need is another dracula movie. Would have sounded kinda cool if it weren't for Twilight f*ckin it up

So Quentin visits some castles and they automatically think hes making a Dracula movie?? Hes just as likely scouting locations for MacGruber 2: the bloody squeakquel.

Maybe he's doing a medieval drama? Or something from Shakespeare? Frankenstein?

Shut up!

That could be interresting!Tarantino can make vampire films regain their former status as horror films!Vampire films deserve to be what they use to be befor hollywood reshape the bloodsuckers to teenage loverboys!
I'll be waiting for more informations about this one!

or... Oh I dunno... Maybe he's into expanding his reality by purchasing a freaking Castle? He IS Tarantino after all... I wouldn't really be surprised by it... I really hope he's scouting for KD3 though.

sh*t.. EDIT... i meant "KB3" -_-

The next vampire movie I want to see is a team-up between Blade and Faith to exterminate the Cullens and the rest of the twatlight vamps.

Maybe he's just going on Holiday , Vienna is a very nice place to vist.

But if it's in the very reliable and well known movie news source the Austrian Independent must be true....

He should cast George Clooney in it and make it a semi-sequel to "From Dusk Til Dawn". George Clooney vs. Dracula, Tarantino-style.

Or just do "Kill Bill 3".

@Eben
Thats a dream movie if that would happen.
@trailer
Makes me wonder what kind of sick twisted things that are going thru his mind right now.

@cc- LOL, as long as his sick thought's are going into Kill Bill 3 they are all good my friend...

From Dusk till dawn is awesome btw...

I still think they should let him do the next Jame Bond movie , That would be very cool and i think he would do a very good job with that franchise!!

I guess when Marcellus was going " Mideval " on Zed's ass, this could take a whole new meaning ...

Quentin taking on Dracula ? Weil, the dialog would DEFINITELY be interesting ... though knowing Quentin, it might wind up similar to Blacula ....

Dracula : " I got this young nineteen year old country girl named Hannah. I found her on a bus stop two days outta Osto, barefoot, country as a chicken coop. I took her to my place in Transylvania, told her it was Hollywood. "

Renfeld : " She believed you? "

Dracula : " Hell yeah! To her dumb country ass, Transylvania is Hollywood; closest she's ever been anyway. "

Later ...

Renfeld : " Man, you must be out of your f*ckin' mind if you think I'm gonna get in this dirty-ass trunk. "

Van Helsing : " Stake in the heart. The very best there is. When you absolutely, positively got to kill every motherf*cker in the room, accept no substitutes. "

@Eben1277

Blade would go, " Sparkly eyes ? Shiiii .... that's the f*ckin' best you've got ? "

Then he would begin clearing the room like that establishing shot in the first one in the underground vampire dance club.

@PhantomCloneInX

Oh, hell ya! Seth and Kate as vampire hunters ... I'd buy a f*ckin' ticket for that!

As much as I'm a fan of his work, this isn't his style. He will literally crush Darcula's legacy in a film. The only film Dracula deserves right now is an adaptation of the manga called Hellsing.

We need a Marvel Comics' Tomb of Dracula movie, special guest appearance by Wesley Snipes.

I remember when vampires were scary.They used to creep into bedrooms whilst folk slept and drink peoples blood,nowadays its all like a f*cking gothy Gap advert.Hopefully Trantino brings back the creepy fear they held instead of this post modern lost boys nonsense.(I know he did dusk till dawn blah blah..)

@Ranger: Wasn't that BloodRayne II?

and slightly off topic, bad news boys and girls, Bloodrayne III is coming. CURSE YOU UWE BOLL!!!
Ranger writes:

@hunter - I haven't seen that yet. But if it is... it would be too good/great of an idea to pass up. Vampires in the old west.
darkraven28 writes:

Great! A Dracula movie that's all f*ckING SELF-IMPORTANT DIALOGUE ABOUT PREVIOUS DRACULA MOVIES AND OTHER LEGENDS. Just what I always wanted.

In other words, a Dracula movie is the very LAST thing Tarantino should ever do. I would sit through some Kill Bill 3 (or Kill The Bride; whatever the hell he wants to call it) though. That story's not finished.
Max Rockatansky Junior writes:

Isn't Tarantino starting to look more like Gary Oldman's old-man version of Dracula in real life already ?

Heading to the Old West to Hunt Vampires
Sunday, August 28, 2005

Like I've said 100 times before, I love Westerns- you've got prostitutes, booze, gunfights, spurs, spittoons and more sinful things all in one place (it's better than Vegas!). The only problem is no one can ever pull of a horror period piece and make it theatrical quality; will Mary Lambert (Pet Sematary, Urban Legends 3) be able to with her vampire Western High Midnight for Treasure Entertainment? Read on for more details...

According to the Hollywood Reporter:

Mary Lambert has signed on to helm the vampire Western "High Midnight" for Treasure Entertainment. The story, by first-time scribe Denis Faye, centers on a broken-down sheriff who is forced to team up with an obsessed Victorian vampire hunter in order to stop an evil, undead force from consuming a frontier town in 1892 New Mexico. The feature film is being produced by Mark Heidelberger at Treasure who has been developing the project for several years.

If it's a Dracula film with kung fu and gun play i'm in. If not, he has no business trying to make a true horror movie about this character.
Emoblue writes:

If Tarantino makes Dracula, I wonder who he will cast in the lead. He revived Pam Grier's career with Jackie Brown and David Carradine's with Kill Bill (and he's subsequently mentioned in Grier's memoirs and the new Carradine book "David Carradine: The Eye of My Tornado").
