"Rambo 5" to Replace Sylvester Stallone?

"Rambo 5" to Replace Sylvester Stallone?Submit Comment
Even though Sylvester Stallone said that he is done with the "Rambo" franchise, posters promoting "Rambo 5" have found hanging around the Cannes Film Festival.

AICN has now had the chance to speak to Stallone, who admitted that he has no idea why Millennium Films would be selling rights to the fifth film. He suggested that it's possible that the company is trying to raise funds with hopes of getting the actor/director back to the franchise. He said that the tactic will not work since he is done with the character forever.

Stallone added that Millennium Films told him that if he doesn't return for another installment, the company will replace him with another actor. Stallone said that he's fine with that.

call it a hunch but I'm guessing w/o Stallone, Rambo 5 won't break $10 million

Unless they ditch the 'bo' and just call it 'RAM' and make it a porno.

Stallone was good, but I never thought he had the experience. I think they should go older. How about Terence Stamp?

What a pretentious piece of sh*t. Their whole logic on time travel is more paradoxical than Lohan being a virgin.

If he isn't on board with this they will tweek the story where we find out in the begining he is dead and they go to the next best man, my bet is on Bennet.

What?
If you want to carry Rambo on,redo First Blood.Simple.Start again, the book was here first anyway.Don't just replace a guy 5 films in an expect us not to notice.f*ckwits.

@rocket- spot on , that's the only way this franchise should go now !!!

@Inception - that scares me a great deal !! lol

rocketman writes:
on May 15th, 2010 at 7:59:24 AM

@Trailer
I don't see a prob with a reboot,infact i WANT a reboot.Start again with FB and perhaps update the sequels a bit,i dunno.But do it right.This sh*t is just lazy.
Freudian_Nightmare writes:
on May 15th, 2010 at 8:37:35 AM

First I must give it to Sly. He knows when to end a franchise on a high note and that's respect.

And then this must be the dumbest idea for a long time. I can get that Hwood would want to remake Commando and replace Arnie, it was only one movie after all. But Sly is Rambo personified. There's no replacing that. Would you replace Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones?
trailertrash writes:
on May 15th, 2010 at 11:27:10 AM

@rocket- this idea of super soldiers is crap, Stallone is right to keep clear of it. As you say if they have to do something with Rambo why not go back to first blood and stick closer to the book.

@freud- Would you replace Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones?

We wouldn't as fans , bet Hollywood will one day though lol

Freudian_Nightmare writes:
on May 15th, 2010 at 11:46:10 AM

@Trailer: If they have not made another Indiana Jones in 5 years, wait two more and we have a reboot on our hands (And I'm being very optimistic with the timeline)
