Cannes Posters: "Dracula," "Spider," "Elephant White"Submit Comment
Over at the Cannes Film Festival, production companies are attempting to sell their properties and thus have placed posters around town. We now have photos of these posters for you below. Most of the films have yet to begin shooting.

Burke and Hare: A black comedy about two 19th century grave robbers who find a lucrative business providing cadavers for an Edinburgh medical school. The film is directed by John Landis (Trading Places) and stars Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead) and Andy Serkis (Lord of the Rings).

Cosmopolis: Follows a multi-millionaire on a 24-hour odyssey across Manhattan. Colin Farrell will play the asset manager who loses all his wealth over the course of one day. Marion Cotillard (Inception, Public Enemies) will play his wife. The film is directed by David Cronenberg (Eastern Promises).

Dracula: The film will be a faithful adaptation of Bram Stoker's novel. It will begin shooting in Italy and Hungary in January. The movie will be made in English and in 3D. It is directed by Dario Argento (Suspiria).

Spider: a new species of poisonous spider is discovered in the caves of Afghanistan and inadvertently makes its way to New York City where it mutates to gigantic proportions and wreaks havoc on the entire city. The film will be shot in 3D for Nu Image. Talent is yet to be attached.

Elephant White: A mercenary in Thailand is engaged by a 14 year old girl who gives his life a new meaning. The film is directed by Prachya Pinkaew (Ong-Bak), and stars Djimon Hounsou (Blood Diamond) and Kevin Bacon.

Dracula: f*ck it. Argento has lost his touch. See the Third Mother and Giallo for example.

Cosmopolis: In Cronenberg, we trust.

Burke and Hare: This one looks good

Spider: Nu-image makes the best B-Movie schlock. Octopus 1 & 2, Spiders 1 & 2, Tobe Hooper's Crocodile etc. And finally one in 3D???? Retro's back, baby.

Elephant White: Accomplished actors like Hounsou and my fav kind of Bacon (cue gay jokes) with a foreign popcorn director. Looks like we got another Taken on our hands.

ugh dracula.... one of the worst books ever written...and to make a movie true to the orginal...boring. the whole i just waited for lucy to f*cking die.....too many movies about this one book....at least it has argento....but

"Burke and Hare" sounds awesome. Any new Cronenberg movie is always a good thing. "Spiders" - 'Talent is yet to be attached.' Unfortunately, this will probably hold true, even if the movie gets made. Hopefully it'll be less like a SyFy original movie and more of a nod to the 50's and 60's B-Movies, kinda like how they approached "Eight Legged Freaks." I'm always willing to give a new "Dracula" movie a shot. True, the book is not the most well-written or exciting, but in a grander scope, the general story and it's impact on pop culture is still as influential as it ever has been, maybe more so nowadays because of fagtastic nonsense like "Twilight." "Elephant White" sounds good. I'm sure I won't see it in the theater. I'll probably just wait til my girlfriend's boring sister orders it from NetFlix, thinking it's something like "Blood Diamond." Plus, you can't go wrong with a side of Bacon!

Burke & Hare: Looks quite similar to "I sell the dead" with Ron Perlman. But John Landis back in the biz with Pegg and Serkis, it could be a lot of fun.

Cosmopolis: I'm not that intriguided by the premise, but it's Cronenberg

Dracula: Starting to get fed up with Dracula, but it might take away some of the bitter taste that is Twilight

Spider: I loved "Eight Legged Freaks" and these good ol' B-horror homages. Hopefully there will be some talent, otherwise it'll only B-grade

Elephant White: What is with Kevin Bacon and small children? He's still a good actor, so is Djimon, so this could be worth a rent.

Wow! I can't believe someone FINALLY got around to making a film adaptation of the classic novel "Dracula". It only took them 113 years......

....and about 400 other movies. Seriously, Dracula?

Oh well, at least it'll probably be 1000x better than the "Twatlight" series.

Daria Argento directing Dracula ? John Landis directing a black comedy about grave robbers ?

I guess the devil release them from their contract for their souls and is planning to renegotiate with LeBron James ...

Brought to you by Asylum, hence the talent pool question ... what ? Is Bruce d*ckenson's cellphone off ? What about Dio ? Falco ? Thomas Dolby ?

Just kidding. Olivia Newton John might jump at this.

Or Judd Nelson and his nose.

@Freudian

Maybe Kevin studied Roman's personal life and planned to re-create " The Woodsman "

@Max: Well, he's a method actor, so it wouldn't surprise me
