Trailer: Matt Damon's "Adjustment Bureau" Sci-Fi Thriller

Posted: May 12th, 2010 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
Trailer: Matt DamonSubmit Comment
Today we have the trailer for "The Adjustment Bureau" sci-fi thriller, starring Matt Damon and Emily Blunt. The film is loosely based on a Philip K. Dick story. Check out the trailer below.

Plot: On the brink of winning a seat in the US Senate, ambitious politician David Norris (Damon) meets beautiful contemporary ballet dancer Elise Sellas (Blunt) -- a woman like none he's ever known. But just as he realizes he's falling for her, mysterious men conspire to keep the two apart.

David learns he is up against the agents of Fate itself -- the men of The Adjustment Bureau -- who will do everything in their considerable power to prevent David and Elise from being together. In the face of overwhelming odds, he must either let her go and accept a predetermined path or risk everything to defy Fate and be with her.

The new movie is directed by George Nolfi ("Bourne Ultimatum" writer) and is scheduled to hit theaters on September 17th.

To my suprise, this film dosen't look to bad. A nice mix of Thriller and Romance. I'll give this a go.

Dammit why'd they have to go and use the music from "Sunshine"? Now I have to hate it.

@ashhamari, I was thinking the same thing. When the guy started talking in a normal voice I was very disappointed.

And speaking of mind-f*cks that question the very fabric of time let's think about all the movies we've seen that question the very fabric of time. I foresee this movie abandoning science or logic for the sake of romance, contrary to what made "Primer" so special. This movie will probably have tons of plot-holes. The whole reason the Bureau shows up is because they don't know what he is going to do next. He is "off-book" now because he bumped into that girl. Yet they still know he is going to jump out of the chair and run right into that tile where they can raise it up and make him trip? Oh well, I guess any movie like this has these faults. Sure, I'll see it.

It's from a rapper named Big L who died before his time. He has some of the best lines I've ever heard.

Personal favorite:
"I got more riches than you, f*ck more bitches than you, only thing I haven't got is more stitches than you. f*ckin punk, you ain't a leader, what? Nobody followed you. You was never sh*t, your mother shoulda swallowed you."

Look's ok , The Only thing it does seem to lean towards a love story more than all out action scfi movie ....
encoreyourface writes:

Rodan don't worry about it. and LOL! should listen to some of that ...
Freudian_Nightmare writes:

I have no problem with this being a love story (ever since I saw 500 days of Summer I've soften up a bit). But as Rodan said, this will probably have a lot of plotholes. If they are small, it'll be acceptable, but otherwise this movie risks going the stupidroute.

Bunny X writes:

Looks good but for some reason, I'm not interested. I guess it's the whole part of some big conspiracy working to keep two people apart. I mean really? Nothing else to do in your spare time oh secret powers that be?
