"Friday the 13th" Sequel May Still Happen

"Friday the 13th" Sequel May Still HappenSubmit Comment
"Friday the 13th" reboot cost only $19 million to make and ended up grossing a whopping $40 million just during its opening weekend. And even though a script for the sequel is already written, producer Brad Fuller recently stated that the new installment is dead.

STYD has now caught up with Fuller to get a few more details. He said: "There's just no movement on it right now. Paramount and New Line are simply evaluating if they're going to make it and that's what's happening."

It sounds like the project is not completely dead, it's just a matter of figuring out whether the sequel can be profitable.

Fuller added that the script has been turned it and even revealed a few pieces from it. "Camp Crystal Lake was going to open, I can tell you that. And a portion of the movie did take place in the snow," he said.

how is this such a hard decision to make? it's f*cking friday the 13th, people!!! it will always make money. i don't know how this is so up in the air, yet they don't mind making another 17 f*cking installments of the Saw series. at least the friday the 13th series knows not to take itself seriously.

@Lloyd: No f*cking sh*t, I couldn't agree more. Of all the sh*tty sequels and remakes why does Friday the 13th get scrutinized? Hwood has backed much worse. Jason always keeps the box office and the morgue busy :-)

Maybe Jason will use the snow to write his name in it with his urine stream to scare those he's stalking?

Yellow names in snow terrifies me!

This movie has TEN sequels already. Seriously this is one they can keep to themselves.

YAWN

Rationalizing any of Jason's actions or motives just seems a bit ridiculous seeing as how this is a guy who can't die! There will be another one... they are prolly just waiting to see how NOES does.
