Marvel Confirms "Ant-Man" Movie

Marvel Confirms "Ant-Man" MovieSubmit Comment
Back in 2006, Edgar Wright (Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead) was hired to write and direct the "Ant-Man" movie for Marvel. Since then, he's written the first draft but was forced to shift focus to "Scott Pilgrim vs the World," which he recently completed. So what's going on with "Ant-Man"?

ComingSoon caught up with Marvel's Kevin Feige who revealed that he met with Wright in Los Angeles last week. "We sat down, and we started working on a calendar of when to get him back into it once he finishes promoting 'Scott Pilgrim'," Feige explained. "So I think towards the end of this year, early next year we'd start looking at early prep for that, but certainly for a release date after 'The Avengers.'"

There is a good chance that Ant-Man will make an appearance in "The Avengers," since he was a founding member of the group. Plus, Wright has already been spotted speaking not only to Stan Lee, but also Joss Whedon, the director of "The Avengers."

@ encore.... I'm probaly more excited than you are

I think it can be good especially since marvel has control of their own characters. Also just can't imagine an avengers film without ant man. Plus you can't have one woman on the avengers roster. Gotta have wasp as well. How hot would it be to see black widow making out with a hot girl plays wasp.

I am curious to see how this can work, so far i am interested because of this guy directing Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead!

I really hope he's more Giant-Man than Ant-Man in The Avengers. What's he gonna do as Ant-Man, crawl inside the Hulk's *sshole and expand until he either submits or gets turned on by it? Then maybe we'll have a pink Hulk. Que Edward Norton's gay-ass smile from the end of "The Incredible Hulk"

HOW OLD are you, people? EIGHT?

Eight again?

Eight forever?

Couldn't you have hit at least twenty or fifteen before ending your personal growth?

Now in all seriousness....this prob will be one of the first small budget marvel films that we've been hearing about. I wouldn't get all that excited. Lol. What's the poster going to be....an ant hill...and buch of aunts crawling over a human?? An ant the size of the empire state building?

@Shay obviously doesn't understand the pleasures of dressing up as an eight year boy then sneaking into a preschool class and jerking off.

"What's your power?"

"I have the strength of a human"

"Hey get a load of Ant-Man, he has the strength of a human!"

OK I'm not sure if that's exactly what was said, so maybe I shouldn't have used quotation marks, but anyone who thinks this is a good idea needs to go google Saturday Night Live superhero c*cktail party.
encoreyourface writes:
