Gilligan's Wife Comments on "Gilligan's Island" Movie

Back in March, Warner Bros announced that a feature film based on the "Gilligan's Island" TV show was in development and that production could begin as nearly as next year. Brad Copeland (Wild Hogs, "Arrested Development") is currently writing the screenplay.

Now the wife of the late Bob Denver (Gilligan) released a statement with her feelings regarding the new big screen adaptation. Dreama Denver said:

"I'm thrilled that a whole new generation will get to know the castaways, and that the original Gilligan fans will get to see the re-imagining of the show. Although in my heart no one can replace Bob as Gilligan, it'll be interesting to see how the movie turns out. One thing is certain; whoever the new Gilligan is, he'll make a whole lot more money for doing that one movie than Bob or the other castaways ever did in their lifetimes; Bob nor the rest of the cast ever received royalties for syndication, video or DVD sales, websites, video games... none of that was even imagined when they shot the TV show."

and not that im saying he's sh*t, coz i actually find him funny, but unfortuantly chances are Steve Carrell will get the cast as Gilligan.

It'll probably go to Michael Cera. And video games? WTF?

It's going to suck. The guy who wrote Wild Hogs is going to write this piece o' sh*t.

Isn't that right, little buddy ?

Oh, and Skip and Gilligan ... obviously gay. That's why Skip was always referring to his
'little buddy '.

This had BETTER BE A PORN!!!!!!!

Hey Mary-Ann... you need some cream for that coconut pie?

As for this widow's comments... besides some obvious bitterness, what's she trying to say? Sure things were tougher back when. My grandmother was a pioneer, my life is better than hers. To buy the same house in the same city where my parents bought now costs over 25x's as much. What's her point? Actors were poorer back then... they're wealthier now. There are better deals. These are different times. Apples to oranges.

DIE BITCH... DIE!!!

Ugh as soon as evil said Cera as Gilligan, I immediately thought Jack Black as Skipper and I threw up.

Jim Parson from Big Bang as Gilligan. Steve Carell as young Mr Howell. Pamela Anderson as Ginger, Marshal from how I met your mom as skipper. Ugly Betty as Mary Anne. T J Tyne from Bones as Professor.

It will have to be a total reboot - the movie the original cast made sucked big time.
