Quentin Tarantino Being Sued for Stealing "Kill Bill" StorySubmit Comment
TMZ is reporting that Quentin Tarantino is being used by a man who claims that the director ripped-off his concept for the "Kill Bill" movies.

In a lawsuit filed today (March 9th), Dannez Hunter says that in 1999 he submitted a treatment to Miramax about a fictional character named Ren. He says that the studio, Harvey Weinstein and Tarantino went steal his ideas which include a story in which Ren witnesses her mother's sadistic murder.

Hunter went on to say that he applied for a job at Miramax but "was never given a return phone call, as numerous similar situated less qualified Jewish and White people were bestowed job after job after job."

He added that he was also denied royalties and believes he deserves more than $1 million.

Funny how Hollywood steals movie ideas but they'll never take sugguestions from fans on how not to blow a certain project
trailertrash writes:

it's a worry for them that the fans know more about good movie ideas than some these highly paid executives in hollywood who seem hell bent on just f*cking up good movies......

What are the limitations of actions in the US?

Kill Bill II came out 6 years ago. If he's such a slow writer - no wonder someone "stole" his idea.

On the other hand, keep it real, man. You're trying to sue a man who's famous for stealing and oscar from under Spielberg's nose (Shakespeare in Love vs Ryan).

Plus he is a racist. Way to go, Dannez! They'll rip your annuzzz.

I very much doubt someone stole this poor basterd's "idea".

But QT is a wanker, no doubt about it.

It's funny how these lawsuits always appear at least 5 years after the movie came out. Why rush things?

I wrote the Bible, wonder if it's too late to get some money from Passion of the Christ?

KURSKIJ>>>>> I want to say 7 years is the statute of limitations on something like this but then again, intellectual property might be even longer. This would be an easy case to prove if he kept a paper trail. Willing to bet he didnt save sh*t! Because hes LYING!

@trailertrash
You do have a point but movies that are complete ass like transformers still perform well at the box office. Most die hard movie-buffs(not fans/watchers) don't watch these movies or do to just critique them, which blows me away why someone would waste money to talk sh*t about movie.

Oh come-on the guy has never come up with an original idea in his life. Hes good at developing others peoples ideas though. He knows how to work at hollywood, just say you did it first.

Pulp Fiction was good but that was with Roger Avery. After Quint stole Roger's party joke about top gun and used it like it was Quint's original in Sleep With Me (1994) Roger agave Quint the finger now hes in jail.

.... Uh, maybe I need to add 2 and 2 together but why the f*ck didn't this jerkhole bring it up during the production ?

Oh, and does QT steal ? Uhm, well, he's heavily " inspired " ...

both of them need to be gang raped with lobsters shoved up their a*holes.
