Optimus Prime and Bumblebee Getting Makeovers in "Transformers 3"

Optimus Prime and Bumblebee Getting Makeovers in "Transformers 3"Submit Comment
During the Visual Effects Society Awards on Sunday, Sci-fi Wire had the chance to speak to the people from the Industrial Light and Magic effects house who are working on the third "Transformers" film. According to them, Optimus Prime and Bumblebee will be getting a makeover.

"Our two lead characters, Optimus and Bumblebee, needed to be updated for the next chapter in the Transformers series," said animation supervisor Scott Benza. "Bumblebee's matured a little bit, so I would just say look for subtle changes to his physique that have him look more mature. We always want the robots to look cooler than they did the last time, so [Optimus Prime is] going to look a little more heroic, I would say."

Visual effects supervisor Scott Farrar added: "[Prime will have] little tiny things that maybe the average viewer isn't going to notice but probably the fanboys will. You actually will run into pieces that are maybe always in the way, and wouldn't it be nice if that part wasn't there? Maybe you make a shift in the shoulder, in the chest or what have you. So it might be proportioning, but it also might be for usability, so [the animators]' task could be easier, too."

A vagina? Wouldn't surprise me.

Or maybe they could just make a "GOOD" movie this time. So much time and effort is spent on effects and sound, yet the story and acting from TF2 was amazingly bad.

Mmmmmmmmm? How about they put some time and money into the script and change director (I knw it aint gonna happen) instead of wasting it on the robots? So I'm with chrisc20002003 on this one.

They should make Optimus' face look like the blue waffle.

as much as the visual effects are important...THE SCRIPT needs to be great for the audience and critics to love the characters...and it just didnt happen in the 2nd one...i didnt even know jolt was in the whole dam movie until he was electrocuting OP...how fkn stupid??

just take Bumblebee out of the picture, never liked his character, just let him f*cking speak already ...

also Optimus doesn't need a make-over, the franchise does ...

@encore

More like just another boring weekday.

Remember, Dandy rents his ass to chimpanzees in local zoo, shoves a dozen gerbils up the ass and calls it a day.
