"Valentine's Day" Spin-Off Already in the WorksPosted: February 8th, 2010 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
"Valentine's Day" has yet to appear in theaters, but New Line Cinema is already moving forward with a spin-off. The new movie will be called "New Year's Eve" and the plan is to shoot it in New York at the end of this year for a late 2011 release.
Garry Marshall (Pretty Woman), who directed "Valentine's Day," is returning for the spin-off along with screenwriter Katherine Fugate and some of the actors from the first film.
"Valentine's Day" features an impressive cast, comprised of Jessica Alba, Bradley Cooper, Anne Hathaway, Patrick Dempsey, Hector Elizondo, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Garner, Topher Grace, Ashton Kutcher, Taylor Lautner, George Lopez, Queen Latifah, Julia Roberts and Emma Roberts.
"New Year's Eve" will attempt to pull off the same trick, which is to cram as many big names into a movie as possible. And only on a $50 million budget.

"And only on a $50 million budget. "
it might be hard to pay the actors with that money, but certainly enough to make a movie good, i mean look at Dist.9. however this entire franchise already seems beyond saving even before they came out. even if it did have more money.

Valentine's Day spin-off?
Why not just call it "Love Actually 2" and "Love Actually 3"?
Here's a breath of fresh air that this movie probably could use, call it "Valentine's Night", when the fucking takes place, and cast Abbey Brooks, Alexis Texas and Jayden Jaymes for the main roles.

Would actors/actresses get a % of profit from this? It seems like too little money for that many people and the only possible draw is who's starring in it.

What Effin hypocrites!! They want to make it a low budget feature and hire all these stars so they can make profit - bunch of cheap punks. No way in hell I'm paying for this.
