Zachary Quinto Cast in Steven SpielbergSubmit Comment
Ever since Steven Spielberg abandoned the "Harvey" remake, he has been searching for a project to take on. He is currently looking at three, with one being a George Gershwin biopic.

Deadline has now learned that Zachary Quinto (Star Trek, "Heroes") has been cast to play the famed composer and pianist, who with brother Ira, was responsible for more than a dozen Broadway shows before dying at 38 years old.

Doug Wright (Quills) wrote the script for the movie which could begin filming as soon as April. An official announcement could come later this week, which is when we will learn whether Spielberg will direct or only produce. Stay tuned.

i think its time for quinto to move away from the heroes set and into something that really shows his abilities

Wow, this sounds boring. Good casting but boring. Where in the hell is the Lincoln Biopic, f*ck?

This is Quinto's chance to be the actor to survive "HEROES" and that should (Sorry, Clarie...You're hot but not talented...maybe your mouth)

This sound like it will be the most boring piece of sh*t ever, next to watching paint dry.

Sylar really has become a tiresome character to watch on Heroes. His presence seems completely unesscacry in the last two seasons. Quinto, it's time to move on and show what your really capable off.

But, this film sounds boring as hell.

kinda seems like a step down for Quinto (from Star-Trek, not Heroes) and for Spielberg for a crappy looking biopic.
I think Quinto likes being more of an unknown person ...

and WP, i'm jumping with excitement over this film and I'll definitely stay tuned, i can hardly contain myself.
