Joel David Moore Says He Will Return for "Avatar 2"

Joel David Moore Says He Will Return for "Avatar 2"Submit Comment
"Avatar" actor Joel David Moore, who played human scientist Norm Spellman in the movie, sat down with MTV News to say that he will return for the planned sequel.

"There are a lot of places for it to go and all of those decisions lie in one man's brain," he said, referring to director James Cameron. "Yes, I will be a part of whatever they want me to do. How can you not? I would love to go back to that world."

SPOILERS AHEAD:

While Moore didn't die in the first movie, his avatar did. So how could the actor return to the Na'vi world where humans cannot survive? "From watching the movie, you can ultimately assume that he took his final plunge," he said. "But you never know what happens. Anything can happen in a sequel. Anything can happen on another planet. Understand that [avatars] are grown from DNA from the Na'vi and us."

I can only assume that Moore is talking about the RDA base located on Pandora. That it will somehow play a role in creating new avatars.

Awesome, he was my favorite character.

@Encore

I've noticed you've been going to every article on this sit trying to be funny and clever like such greats as Ranger and Mink. But it's not working. So please stop because it's getting embarrassing.

@Ranger I was thinking the same thing... How's that interesting news?

Avatharder is thy name. Because every sequel should have the word harder in the title. But only Die Hard 2: Die Harder has heeded this call.

@ Goober

"Adios, turd nuggets."

Gotta love Grandma's Boy.
When me and my bro were watching AVATAR in theaters, we were making a lot of JP jokes....
ugh....I've talked to a lot of people lately about Avatar,
i.e.
I was at CVS and there was a father with his 2 young kids talking about the movie they were about to go see,
I was like "What movie are you going to?"
And they were like "Avatar."
And all I did after that was just smile and nod my head.
I'm done trying to get my point across,
The movie was beyond awful,
And I'm no longer trying to push my opinion on any Avatar fan,
because its just a wast of breath...
the world loved it,
I f*cking despised it,
w/e
You won't see me painting myself blue for the sequel...
I would go see Twilight 3 a thousand years before I'd ever go see an Avatar 2....
:( :(
MOON was my fav. movie of '09...

And up until Avatar, James Cameron was one of my all time favorite directors....
Well he lost me as a lifelong fan,
and he gained a whole new fan base that consists of young children and idiots...
BRAVO TO YOU< CAMERON! U f*ck MOOK!
I hope you have a lot of fun with your unlimited amounts of dough.

Everyones talking about how Avatar "blew" their minds...
The only thing that Avatar blew for me was my d*ck,
In an awful, teeth biting sorta way...
Extremely unpleasant/

And spare me the "you think grandma's boy was better than Avatar?" questions...
my answer is
YES YES YES f*ckING HELLLLL YEA! Dumb and Dumber was better than Avatar.

Trudy should have survived instead of him. I never thought i'd see the day when a movie that made me like Michelle Rodriguez in any way.

Overall tho, Avatar was overrated. I didn't hate it, or love it. Probably similar opinion to a lot of hardcore movie fans.
Do we really need a sequel though?

okay i watched Avatar ... and it's pretty much what i expected: lame plot with (floating) mountains of special effects sugar on them. the last (and pretty much only)battle was certainly the high-light of the film. the unoriginality was spewing almost around every corner, but that's also what i expected ...pretty much a cow-boy vs Indians.

and the guy mentioned in the article ... he was in it maybe 7 minutes so really who gives a f*ck. i may watch this sequel, but i'm not pumped for it at all and really couldn't care less if they make one or not.

my original stance remains that this film pisses the sh*t out of me with the crap that's been going along with it; the mountain naming, the suicide, the real-life clan forming, the Na'vi language learning ... bunch of sh*t that i'd gladly poor on Eddy Murphy's card-board box house ... NOW who's got the retarded smile on their face!?
warriors187 writes:

agreed
GIST writes:

If Joel is returning for the sequel. I'm definitely returning too! As the character who plays THE GUY WHO DOESN'T GIVE A f*ck.
You can see me in a few scenes actually, I'm the guy in the background not giving a f*ck. Peeing all over the Tree of Life, flashing my Na'vi penis, mocking the pterodactlys, Oh. The best yet, taking a sh*t off the floating mountains. It's awesome because it floats until some Na'vi flies right into it.

i'm pretty sure in the end he stayed with the Na'Vi.
