"Spider-Man" Director Marc Webb Signs On for "Midland" TV SeriesSubmit Comment
Just one week after signing on for the "Spider-Man" reboot, director Mark Webb (500 Days of Summer) has been hired to direct his first TV pilot for Fox, called "Midland."

Written by "The Beaver" scribe Kyle Killen, "Midland" is a series set against the backdrop of an oil business that centers on a polygamist living a double life.

For now, Webb is focusing on "Spider-Man," which already has a script and is already in-talks with several actors. Such names as Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Clive Owen have previously been mentioned.

How's this for weird. I looked up the new Spider-Man reboot on imdb.com and, for some reason, it says Tobey McGuire is rumored to play Spider-Man again! So either this is going to be a reboot or we are getting messed with and this is Spider-Man 4 in disguise with a new director. It wouldn't be the weirdest thing to happen right? Could be like when the third Harry Potter came out with a new director, but same cast and different approach. Maybe both sides get what they want. A retention of the past Spider-Man films with a fresh tone.
