Mr. T Turns Down Cameo in "A-Team" Movie

Mr. T Turns Down Cameo in "A-Team" MovieSubmit Comment
It seems that director Joe Carnahan wants to make sure that he gets the old cast of "The A-Team" to appear in his movie. Both Dirk Benedict (Faceman) and Dwight Schultz (Murdock) have already confirmed that they have already signed on, so that just leaves George Peppard (Hannibal) and Mr. T (B.A. Baracus).

Peppard unfortunately passed away in 1994, and LatinoReview just found out from Mr. T himself that he has chosen not to make an appearance in the movie.

He has no problem with the fact that his show is being adapted for the big screen without him. He's just worried that if he does a cameo, 20th Century Fox will use his name to promote the film and then he will have to explain to his family that he's not starring in it.

Mr. T added that his decision also has nothing to do with money, since he refused the cameo before those discussion ever came up. So unless he gets a bigger role in the film, Mr. T will not appear in it.

"20th Century Fox will use his name to promote the film and then he will have to explain to his family that he's not starring in it."

Mr. T to his family: Hey guys I'm going to have a cameo in the new A team movie.

Wow, that was really f*cking hard to explain.

He says it as if he's messengers with offers knocking his front door down. Face it, dude! You need the paycheck. Just make the fans and your bank account happy and do the cameo!

@ eddie - Are you kidding me? He doesn't need no cameo role to bring in money. He's go World of Warcraft commercials to do!!

hahaha.

I think he'll end up doing it, just for the sake of the other two cast members doing it.

he probably turned down the cameo because he has to go midget tossing... LOL

... he stars in sh*tty cooking infomercials... but he won't take a cameo in a movie that made him famous unless it's a bigger role...

... he should be f*ckin stoked they asked him, its probably the biggest role opportunity he'll have for the rest of his career!

He's probaly worried that even 2 seconds of a film with him will be two much awsomeness for the audiance, and all there brains will melt.

Does someone really care about that? And come on - Dirk Benedict was looking old in the 1990's and i doubt it will be any better now. Sorry, but the A-Team is just so 80's and ask the kids today about them - they never heard of them though it's still running on TV ...and nobody cares..

bummer ;(

His explaination doesn't make much sense. Just say you want a bigger role and since they weren't going to give it to you, you turned them down.

Still seems kinda a stupid thing to do but to each is own.

Should of done it.

Dont think those World of Warcraft commercials are paying that much.

@Bigcheese: that's also true!

George Peppard is dead...So it would be really hard to get him for a cameo...
